I would encourage WWE fans to check out some of Penta's, and lucha bros, matches when they're available on Max. He is really my favorite probably.

In reality, WWE is acquiring previously used, cautious talent, which may be referred to as underappreciated talent, but the situation is being treated negatively by upheld fans. As though they should feel comfortable in one place for the entirety of their careers. Business is what this is about. Throughout their career, wrestlers are required to eat and gain more accolades. There's nothing surprising about that. WWE's ability to deliver presentations to a larger audience is undoubtedly something I believe deserves praise.
In spite of all the negative social media counter-reactions, they handled the situation with Penta professionally. The responsibilities of his next contract were too big for AEW to take on due to bad timing and karma. Due to his age (39) and vulnerability to injuries, he had to move on after earning his credits. The main thing he wanted was to be at WWE to experience it for the first time in his career. AEW aided him in reaching his destination.
In regards to CM Punk, his departure from WWE was not exclusive. He was dismissed from WWE. He didn't simply quit working at AEW. There was a reason why he was dismissed from AEW. He stated that he would never ever wrestle again, as per his statement. AEW made a gamble by offering him a historic chance, but he couldn't cope with the typical wrestling political antics. Fans are still split on whether or not he can still compete with the best of today. Although his mic skills are excellent and he can deliver impactful lines, his in-ring ability feels overused.

I personally wanted Penta to be the first luchadore AEW world champion but their roster is so stacked right now with incredible talent.
When the eventual "Downfall of AEW" special comes out, one of the things that will be talked about is Tony's failure to pull the trigger on Penta. It was obvious a decade ago that Penta was going to be a big deal one day. Penta came to AEW and managed to get himself massively over without ever speaking a word of English, or even cutting a promo. He even got a Spanish catch phrase over. What he managed to do in AEW is nearly impossible to do. Penta should have been a top guy by early 2021. Penta is going to be the next Eddie Guerrero/Rey Mysterio level Hispanic mega star. He is what WWE has been looking for for years, and they know it. They are about to strap the rocket ship to Penta, make a shit ton of money, and make Tony look like an even bigger goof.
Fumbling? nahhh.. they were massively over with the fans... and both did have a great run.. also outside of wwe, many wrestlers have merch on their own outside of the promotions..
Short answer... Yes. He had some amazing matches in AEW but he should of had a much larger push. I hope Rey Fenix is able to join up with Penta in WWE because they really are one of the greatest tag teams around and anyone who hasn't seen them together should go look up their matches together.
He was the only figure at target that stood out. They had him on the shelf next to eddie kingston and pockets. Back in the day Penta the only guy that draws eyes. Also wwe being a real company has merch ready to go. Thats the work
Did they fumble him ? Yes and no . He's a multi company world champion but he got like one match vs Omega . But he's a tag guy , he got the gold , the trios gold , that universal title , do did his brother . They both got hurt , ALOT . You get hurt plans change , the company moves on for TV and ppv storyline 's to push . Those guys were not neglected or abused , they were top guys yes after 5 years and Fenix out hurt again he wasn't on TV. You know a wad of cash was offered to them and they took it . AEW has been around 5 years plus the brothers didn't grow up with dreams of wrestling in AEW , it was to wrestle for the WWE . Penta is 40 it was now or never .
I want to see jon moxley, mjf,Kenny omega, claudio, yuta, pack, malakai black, hangmen adam page, jay white, samoa joe, Phoenix, jack sabar jr, joe haney, in wwe.
You knew in aew whenever penta had a singles match it was gonna be an excellent match the fans would go crazy for and would end up jobbing for someone who was in a big match on the next ppv. I loved aew 2019-2022/2023ish ... especially the big tag cage match against the young bucks ... which may have been one of the best matches i had ever seen ... but the last 2 years he was treated as just another guy who put on great matches
You say that like Paul hasn’t fumbled big signings like Dragon lee and andrade or that all the Mexican wrestlers aren’t involved in faction feuds exclusively with other Mexican wrestlers since he took over
I don’t think so. Probably could have used him more as a main eventer!? People forget quite easily The cage match penta had with his bro and the bucks, it is probably the best tag match with a stipulation ur ever gonna see.
Lucha Bros AEW Run was okay, could've been better. But saying their Run was Bad, is false. They have been Tag Champs & Trios Champs, having great Matches and Fenix won the International Title as well (even tho it wasnt the original Plan). Most Wrestlers Dream of coming to WWE, working for the biggest Company. It just makes sense after their Long Careers, to go to WWE. Winning Gold there.
@@TeddyBearrrs Im not joking either! It seems like if ur Mexican/Latino WWE talent ur put into LDF if Heel and LWO if Babyface. The only luchadore to really escape it is Dom And that's because he's not exactly a luchadore (doesn't wear a mask for one)
WWE will absolutely make him look okay, but not great, Chad Gable is someone they have had FOR YEARS and has deserved a good push but he never got a chance. WWE is just gonna shuffle Penta into the nothingness they have most NXT standouts, without him having to do it in NXT lol
It's a part of the game, as you can see. It's similar to the comparison between Playstation and Xbox. More PlayStation users, specifically younger age groups, will be complaining about Xbox users for various reasons, such as not having access to both platforms and etc
I mean how else would you describe it? It was a decent debut match. It wasn’t great it wasn’t bad it was just good. It was designed to introduce pentas spots while putting on a competitive match, neither worker put in close to 100%, there was some mistakes, but nothing offensive. It was a solid but unremarkable match. It was alright
Let’s not pretend WWE won’t put Penta in a tag team with his brother and that is where they will stay for the next 6 months until they get cast aside for other people. Same thing has already happened to MCMG That being said Penta’s run was ruined by his own brother. The injuries as they were climbing the ranks kept tanking their exposure. The Konnan situation didn’t help one bit.
No its worse actually. They pushed him the best they knew how. Thats fucking sad He’s had so many bangers. And had a great tag title run. But that’s all AEW can do is book you to have banger matches They dont know how to tell stories. They dont know how to do merch. They dont have the marketing machine. AEW is not capable of doing what WWE did with Penta. They dont even know how. So its less so that they fumbled with him. And more so that they wouldnt even know where to start. Its like telling a cat to answer the phone. They dont even get the concept.
To phrase it differently, they fulfilled their commitment to the progressive agreement when dealing with him. Clearly, his brand still holds value for the competitions available. No matter what their preference may be, there will always be naysayers who are mixed-up.
💯 AEW did NOT fumble him or his brother other than not making merchandise for them (honestly I thought the merchandise WWE would make would be better). You said they would do nothing in between their title runs. Well they can't just be pushing them and not other tag teams that wouldn't be fair for the rest.
If Penta was this well recieved just imagine the reception Rey Fenix is gonna get when he lands in WWE. AEW fumbled badly not letting Fenix have a run with the TNT title when he won it by accident.
You mean Fenix should have been rewarded after dropping Mox on his head and then later on instead of doing an audible, dropped him on the head a 2nd time? Yeah right.
The match was good. It was more than alright. AEW didn't capitalize on making masks, tapping into the Latino market and using Penta more in the tag scene. A match isn't a 5 star match and IWC and weirdo content creators can't appreciate a good match.
if yall really think wwe is going to give penta a big singles title ur out of ur god damn mind. AEW had him for years and suuuure he is talented but could never break thru just like all ego.
I'll be honest, I didnt even give Vince crap about adding time for injuries so I won't do it to aew. Fenix is a grown man that signed the deal to a certain amount of time. Doesn't make it right but that's business.

Yes and no. Penta in the early years of aew got a lot of TV time. He had a few title reigns. He had a good run. But he had a very on off again booking. What wasnt covered in this video. During the the original all in Penta was booked as a massive name for Omega to face. It was a whole storyline on bte and was one of the main matches for all in. For aew he was one of the original signees. However as time went on. The love for him and fenix seemed to fade in aew. 17 matches in 2024 in aew. He wasn't injured. Just wasn't booked. Just cause fenix was hurt that's not an excuse. 2023 he was basically an enhancement talent . He had a lot of matches but mostly lost. Pre 2023 he was booked pretty consistently and good. But last 2 years awful. He had one world title match in aew. That he lost. 3 TNT title matches... He also lost.

Wyat Sicks, Dragon lee too🤭
Tony Khan definitely fumbled Penta. Penta Oscuro could've been a good singles run in AEW, but Tony did nothing with it. Lucha Bros in AEW as a whole hasn't been great.
Lucha bros were amazing in early AEW imo
@@ktmoney929 In the beginning, sure.
That's not true because they won gold multiple times in AEW and ROH!
@@Lonnyboss70so a guy having a title In a company where practically everyone has been champion or is one (they have so many ) is an accomplishment? Oooook
Yeah like how WWE is fumbling Chad Gable? He was so over during that Intercontinental title feud.
Penta is definitely on my list to wrestle.
Right after Ander the gnat and macho guy Randall travers right?
@@Miguel-mp7uz Don't forget The Average Warrior and The Hundred Dollar Man
@@mr.awesome6011what about Long Island Luke Logan? Perhaps a not-so-fly Johnny Hookah? Better yet, Dicky Tugboat? If that wasn't enough Deshaun "the Boulder" Bronson.
He has many great matches along with Rey Fenix in AEW including being in the best steel cage match versus The Young Bucks. Penta is accomplishing his long time dream wanting to be in the WWE. I personally wanted Penta to be the first luchadore AEW world champion but their roster is so stacked right now with incredible talent.
Agreed that you should do some merch based episodes. Worst merch, best merch by year, biggest misses for merch etc.
Imagine Rey Mysterio’s career if he couldn’t speak English well enough to do promos.
Be a bit concerning if someone born and raised in America couldn’t speak the language
Short answer... Yes. He had some amazing matches in AEW but he should of had a much larger push. I hope Rey Fenix is able to join up with Penta in WWE because they really are one of the greatest tag teams around and anyone who hasn't seen them together should go look up their matches together.
This video would have been made no matter what WWE did
😇🥸
He was the only figure at target that stood out. They had him on the shelf next to eddie kingston and pockets. Back in the day
Penta the only guy that draws eyes. Also wwe being a real company has merch ready to go. Thats the work
Remember aew didnt sell any unity of penta or fênix masks
😇🤗
What a stupid topic considering he JUST debuted on Raw lmao
😅
Penta has been my favorite for a long, long time. They definitely fumbled him during his last years.
Real question is who wouldn’t go to wwe 😂
🤣😇
meh to early to see if WWE do any better than aew. WWE don't have a good track record with lucha. but who knows Paul might do it better than Vince.
That's fair IMO.
The question wasn't.......will wwe fumble them, was it?
They've already done better with the fact that they're selling Penta masks.
@@marcespinoza6068 yeah possibly. they sold Sin Cara masks too. only time will tell. but so far so good. I like it.
You say that like Paul hasn’t fumbled big signings like Dragon lee and andrade or that all the Mexican wrestlers aren’t involved in faction feuds exclusively with other Mexican wrestlers since he took over
My favourite ring gear in the business.
Please do a video on AEW’s merch game 🙏🏽
Penta said it himself he always wanted to end up in WWE so AEW didn’t fumble. He just wanted more money.
😁😅💪🙌🤑
The match alright ? It was amazing!
Penta is home ☝🏿
I don’t think so. Probably could have used him more as a main eventer!? People forget quite easily The cage match penta had with his bro and the bucks, it is probably the best tag match with a stipulation ur ever gonna see.
😇😅
If you actually watched aew you’d know they absolutely didn’t fumble him. His AEW career was amazing
I wouldn’t say being off tv for the last two years, having zero interesting storylines, but having great matches is really an amazing career
😇
@@elcactusdelamuerte506 him being off tv for 2 years is factually incorrect. Where did you even pull that from??
Lucha Bros AEW Run was okay, could've been better.
But saying their Run was Bad, is false. They have been Tag Champs & Trios Champs, having great Matches and Fenix won the International Title as well (even tho it wasnt the original Plan).
Most Wrestlers Dream of coming to WWE, working for the biggest Company.
It just makes sense after their Long Careers, to go to WWE. Winning Gold there.
Andrade left AEW, cause he thought he wasnt used good. Same Reason which he left beforehand.
Only to rejoin WWE, to be used Bad.
😍🤩😛🤑
For the love of everything Triple H PLEASE DO NOT PUT PENTA INTO THE LWO OR LEGADO DEL FANTASMA.
😅😆
@@TeddyBearrrs Im not joking either! It seems like if ur Mexican/Latino WWE talent ur put into LDF if Heel and LWO if Babyface. The only luchadore to really escape it is Dom And that's because he's not exactly a luchadore (doesn't wear a mask for one)
I would love to see full timeline of penta in aew
😍🥰🤑
Everybody aew has fumbled has done more than they ever did In aew
If they fumbled him, WWE wouldn’t have been interested. Nice bait.
😇
WWE will absolutely make him look okay, but not great, Chad Gable is someone they have had FOR YEARS and has deserved a good push but he never got a chance. WWE is just gonna shuffle Penta into the nothingness they have most NXT standouts, without him having to do it in NXT lol
It's a part of the game, as you can see. It's similar to the comparison between Playstation and Xbox. More PlayStation users, specifically younger age groups, will be complaining about Xbox users for various reasons, such as not having access to both platforms and etc
I think having to stay off tv due to that other Mexican companies stars was disrespectful
Match was good but he had 2 adjust to the WWE Style Penta botched his leg drop off the rope but his promo and finish awesome
I really don't think Penta will be used right in the WWE like some other wrestler that came there
🥰
You didn’t watch the match if you think it’s “alright”
I mean how else would you describe it? It was a decent debut match. It wasn’t great it wasn’t bad it was just good. It was designed to introduce pentas spots while putting on a competitive match, neither worker put in close to 100%, there was some mistakes, but nothing offensive. It was a solid but unremarkable match. It was alright
Of course AEW messed up. tony k always does. He can't book. Hell, he can't book a time to wash his hair when he's in the shower.
Let’s not pretend WWE won’t put Penta in a tag team with his brother and that is where they will stay for the next 6 months until they get cast aside for other people. Same thing has already happened to MCMG
That being said Penta’s run was ruined by his own brother. The injuries as they were climbing the ranks kept tanking their exposure. The Konnan situation didn’t help one bit.
MCMG are a tag team plain and simple, they arent singles stars. Also they are at the tail end of their careers.
No its worse actually. They pushed him the best they knew how. Thats fucking sad
He’s had so many bangers. And had a great tag title run.
But that’s all AEW can do is book you to have banger matches
They dont know how to tell stories.
Hopefully wwe doesn't fumble pentagon
🤣😍😂
Penta should have been booked like in Lucha Underground, but, Tony books for “the sickos”.🤦🏻♂️
💯 AEW did NOT fumble him or his brother other than not making merchandise for them (honestly I thought the merchandise WWE would make would be better). You said they would do nothing in between their title runs. Well they can't just be pushing them and not other tag teams that wouldn't be fair for the rest.
Lucha bros will be big in wwe!
*It was the elite vs dark order and hangman at all out
If Penta was this well recieved just imagine the reception Rey Fenix is gonna get when he lands in WWE. AEW fumbled badly not letting Fenix have a run with the TNT title when he won it by accident.
Wrong title it was the International but I agree. AEW tries to stick to their plans way to much and don’t know how to pivot
You mean Fenix should have been rewarded after dropping Mox on his head and then later on instead of doing an audible, dropped him on the head a 2nd time? Yeah right.
@@JT-bs2lm Seth was rewarded though, after trying to retire Sting from walking, much less wrestling. Just a comparison......
Penta is gonna get the Speed belt & peak there seeing how he already reached the glass ceiling since he isn't samoan 😂😂😂
Aew are screwing his brother over big time.
I'll be honest, I didnt even give Vince crap about adding time for injuries so I won't do it to aew. Fenix is a grown man that signed the deal to a certain amount of time. Doesn't make it right but that's business.
dumbest question iove ever heard. AEW couldnt of booked Penta any better.
laughable how he has a shitty underwhelming WWE debut and looked horrible and they pretend hes incredibke in WWE makes me lauigh
…being kept of tv the last year is good booking?
@elcactusdelamuerte506 yau because he made the decision to leave AEW. Which is why penta snd Rey Fenix were pulled from All In and not used. Rightfully si.
Why would you waste a slot on the biggest AEW PPV events card on talent you know are leaving when their deal is done?
The best of 7 series was too good
No, they didn't.
You know damn well they aren’t going to use him 9:05
Congrats. You sir will never receive a press pass to any future AEW media scrums.
3:02 No
Oh brother
I would love too see a video of AEW failed merch game.
Please do a video on AEWs merch
Lol, when the wife of one if your VPs as a favor job to oversee the merchandise department, what did everyone expect to happen?
Yeah, they didn't do enough with him since the trios belts. I don't blame him for leaving.
I have agreed you most of the time but I gotta strongly disagree with you when you said " Allright"
