Why is the start of Your game different from mine?

Even though I reviewed a little bit of the beginning, where I actually played was not the beginning. Also, the developers have tweaked and updated earlier parts of the story in the latest version, so if you played the beginning of the game ages ago, there might be some changes. I just started playing recently.
