  • Join me exploring the busy streets of Hanoi, the quiet town of Sapa and riding the Ha Giang Loop.
I take on my most disliked city yet, wander the sites of instagram trends and loop around the mountains of Ha Giang on the back of a 19 year olds bike. 10 days and I felt like it was a flash and whirlwind all at once.
Hanoi, Sapa and Ha Giang have very different vibes, and as much as Hanoi definitely is not for me, those of you who are planning to do the Ha Giang Loop I am so very jealous and joyous for the amazing views you're about to see, the people you're about to meet and the peace you hopefully feel. I completely fell in love with the experience, truly felt like this was the first time (in the 11 weeks I had been away at this point) I could actually switch off and completely relax and just be.
I stayed in hostels in Hanoi (which were probably my least favourite & least clean of my entire trip), a hostel in Sapa and homestays with the Ha Giang Loop tour.
I booked the Ha Giang Loop through Jasmine Tours, but there are a fair few around.
All of the bookings I either did online whilst in Vietnam, or booked at the desks in the hostels. It's actually really easy to do, and although their buses take so-god-damn-long they really are organised bloomin' well.
