Hi Cara, really good to hear that your all moved in 🏡...hope you have many happy memories in it 💞😁. Loving your Billy's and love the cutting in the last version 👌💝😘
Great to see you settled in your new home and enjoyed your vlog. I love your sweatshirts, especially the floral one. Can't wait for your next vlog on the shirt.
It’s good to see you back... and in your sewing room at last! Moving is so stressful, hope you are seeing the light at the end of the tunnel... 😜. Take care!
Hi Cara 👋....great review on the Billie...I love the last two versions, I think I prefer the more streamlined look, so will be doing that for myself at some point, but I think I'm going to lengthen the width of the hemband so it does synch in. Beautiful cuffing detail. I need to watch Lauren's vlog to see how it works. Glad you're all settled in your new home and good to have you back on our screens 😊 xx
Wishing you much happiness and sewing in you new home. Thank you so much for showing us your order from itokri, some time ago now! I have had some fab fabrics from them, so exciting to get a parcel from India. Love the Billy sweatshirts!
Lovely to have you back and see you in your new sewing room. It looks so neat and tidy. I love all your versions of the Billie, but that red floral one is sublime. I am not usual a sweatshirt wearer either, but they are just so comfy🙂
Welcome back Cara. No need to be nervous, we are so glad you're here, safe and sound and all moved into your new home. You were missed. Your number 2 Billie with the cut down sleeves (got to say, I'm not a fan of the puffed sleeves), if you took out the sleeves and recut the top part of the sleeve, would that sit correctly for you? Worth a thought, I love that teal sweater knit on you, just lovely, as is all your makes.
Thank you Susan, totally agree that would fix it, a combination of running out of time and a broken overlocker are my key mistakes, I will fix it, thank you for being here, I really appreciate it
I think all your Billies are beautiful on you. Congratulations on the new house. The video is great. You look great in it. The link to the stores you recommend would be great. There's no link to your blog on the cuffs or to Dragonfly Fabrics. Love the cuffs and band. Matches nicely!
Oh sorry Dee I completely forgot to add the links, sorry www.dragonflyfabrics.co.uk/74028-2/ hopefully the link will work if not head over to www.dragonflyfabrics.co.uk where the blog is. Sorry about that. The other fabric is from @felicity.fabrics. Sorry that I forgot to add this detail
Hi Cara, I have missed you 😊 congratulations on the move 👍 I love the billie in all forms (I’ve made 6 but not even one without my extras 🤣) and I think I’m ‘team big sleeves’ at least at the moment 😀 love the cable knit and you look great in your billies ❤️
Thank you Alex, that's such a lovely thing to say, I've really missed not filming and sewing of course! I'm really enjoying looking through the Russian patterns, thank you for the inspiration x
Thrilled you're back on and moved into your new home! Can't wait to see the tour! The puffy sleeve Billy looks way over powering on your frame! Glad you recut the sleeve to be able to salvage it!
I was very pleased to see you back so welcome! Lovely to see that you have moved into your new house. I was interested to see you were talking about the Billie dress as I’m just in the process of tracing the pattern. I’ve been umming and anhing about the sleeves for ages. I’ve decided on some fabric, quite lightweight Ponte type from my stash but still wonder if I should toile the big sleeve! I used cable knit for my latest Southbank and it’s quite bulky so can see why you didn’t like the gathered sleeve.Your versions are nice and I really like the pale blue on you with the fancy cuffs. Also a lot of fabric is required for this pattern so mostly don’t have enough so was surprised you had leftovers that fitted the bill. My leftovers are usually very small😆👏🏻👏🏻for your first blog back.
hi cara, love your vlogs and great to have you back! wishing you many years of happiness in your new home and many many wonderful makes in your cosy new sewingroom. Stay safe. Catriona
Hi Cara, nice to see you again and congrats on moving house finally! I love all your Billies but I love the pale blue the most with the stripy ribbing. I have the same cable knit fabric in the same colour - I have it earmarked for a Nina Lee Southbank as I’ve already made one in burgundy but I do like your dress version 🤩
Congratulations on your move. I love your makes and the blue and cherry blossom fabrics make lovey Billie's. I have the Southbank pattern and wondered how it compares to the Billy?
Good question, they are very similar other than the neckline, I find the sleeves straighter on the Billie, or more close fitting is a better description, I prefer the pockets on the Billie than the southbank. They're both lovely patterns.
Glad you’re back. I’m loving the different versions of the Billie. Still to make one. I have the pattern printed out, and some lovely floral French Terry ready for it, but have been distracted by learning a bit of basic quilting recently. So glad you’ve finally moved and your videoing is fab as usual Cara, Thank you.
Cara, it's so lovely to see you back. Love all the Billys you've made and have recently purchased the Burgundy French Terry from Andrea from Beyond the pink door. I'm going to try making the toaster V1 top with it. 🧡
Cara, firstly lovely to have you back & pleased to hear that you have now moved. Secondly your video in your new sewing room is fine. Re the Billy’s - loved the last two with the french terry fabric they looked really great, well done. However, I don’t think the cable material really suits that pattern, it’s certainly not your sewing ability but the actual fabric. Always enjoy your videos and look forward to others that are coming up.
Thank you Alison, it's hard to know sometimes how a fabric and pattern will go together, but it's part of the fun too, I really appreciate your feedback, thank you
Ha your comments made me laugh as when I made the big sleeve version I thought it was a cross between the 1980s and edwardian lady. My daughter said I looked like I was about to take the boardroom by storm!. I still like the sleeve but prefer the soi Roxy sleeve as it only gathers at the cuff. I too lowered the neckbamd but didn't widen it at the same so still not happy with it so for my next version I'm going to use the lark tee scoop neck as that's my favourite tee. Enjoy your new sewing room 🙂
I just wish they had another neckline option. It is too high for me and I haven't bought it. I love the big sleeves but not when I actually put them on myself. i have broad shoulders; is that why? There are some great patterns for stylish sweatshirts such as Going Home Sweater and the Coco.
Hi Cara, yay you’ve moved😊😊🥳 and a new sewing room set up, well done. Lovely to have you back and a great video. 🌈🍓🧶
Thank you Jenefer, great to be back focused on my favourite hobby!

Thank you Sally, it's great to finally be here!

Thank you Kirsty, it's such a lovely fabric isn't it x
Nice to see you back again. I am too old for the Billie dress but I can appreciate it on others. You look good in your"Billie makes "

Lovely to see you back on screen with some gorgeous Billie makes - the red floral is beautiful ! Congrats on the house move - hope you've settled in.
We're getting there, thanks for being here x
Thrilled you're back on and moved into your new home! Can't wait to see the tour! The puffy sleeve Billy looks way over powering on your frame! Glad you recut the sleeve to be able to salvage it!
Thank you Cecile, it's funny with patterns sometimes, you see the on others and really like them, but you're right, definitely not for me!

I'm your size so this was very informative before I purchase the pattern.
Thank you, its useful to hear from others before purchasing
