Long-time fan of Gwen Stefani ( & No Doubt) here…back when I was still living in the Fiji Is. I didn’t really get exposed to country music until I moved to the States. Through Gwen Stefani, I began to follow Blake Shelton’s music and is now a big fan. I also follow Miranda Lambert and other country music artists. My husband now jokes that I’ve gone country😀 but the truth is country music is addictive (IMO).

That's why I said "a couple of months." He performed this in April 2016, a couple of months later in December when he performed on his show he looked extremely happy. As opposed to here where he looked sad. I'd recommend you watch that performance, it's on The Voice page. It's heartwarming to see him so happy.

Coming back to this performance to me the emotion on his face is frustration. He's frustrated that he's in this place to begin with, you ever been so mad you just want to cry? that's the emotion I read on his face, towards the end you see relief. He's glad the hard part of his life has come to end, glad that he has a chance at a new beginning.
