It was great to meet you and thanks for helping me after I flipped my chair. I don't remember some of the show but your pleasant demeanor and willingness to chat I do. I wonder why you didn't get much done lol. Glad you found the perfect pub to relax in.
Hi Matt, Looks a fantastic event to be, hope you had a good time, good display of power tools and table saws. love the variety of hand tools and wood planes, Great video take care
Matt, it looks like you had a cracking time at the show in Harrogate. You did rather well with the weather, considering it's Yorkshire and the time of year. It's usually raining most days 😂😳😥. If you're really interested in a drum sander, I have a spare one for sale, and I have just installed a new motor for the rotating bed.
Way too many bright shiny objects at the show...for me to have gotten anything done. So good on ya, for what you did manage! (Love the pub!!! that was a perfect find!)
Hi Matt, that show looked absolutely fantastic, you could have spent a lot of money if you had wanted, as for the 'new' saw stop system I still do not know if I would trust it, not with a real finger, best regards from a Kiwi living in Australia, Les
now you mention it, you have an uncanny resemblance to Peter! glad you had a good show and chance to have a nose round too. well done Matt, talking in front of a crowd when most of your time is spent alone can be very difficult. 👍
Now imagine you have been transported to Tasmania for the term of your natural life and have exactly bugger all woodworking shows, 2 excellent *but range limited* retail shops (both Carbatec), and almost no second-hand market for tools. I 100% rely upon you blokes for advice before dropping a bomb (financially) on the freight to get a tool here. Cheers. $0.02

Haha, the "Beware of the Badger" sign must have made you feel right at home, Matt!
It certainly did. My new favourite pub
So glad you got to take a brake and take a look round. Them two Subscribers look pretty cool. 😉
They were ok
@Badgerworkshop 🤣

I was great to meet you. There was so much to see at the show. It definitely was the perfect pub for me
Great to have met you in person even if it slowed the making. Good to see Yorkshire getting some good publicity.
The making was not the important thing. It was great talking to people
I wish we had conventions like this where I'm from, although... I'd be spending a lot of money on tools!
That is the danger of them
👍👍👍. Thank you Matt
Thank you
It definitely looked like a lot of fun, Matt! 😃
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊

I had a great time thank you. It’s definitely a good show
This plus the tv work. Celebrity woodworker extraordinaire in the making.
Haha I don’t know about that
Lovely video Matt! Looks like it was a fun show
oh man, those bessie clamps!
Such a good idea

It did get pretty cold. I would like a sander but I don’t think I really have room for one unfortunately
It looks like you had a great time. Always nice to get a trip on the corporate coin😊. Plus you got to play with some new toys
Lots of new tools. It was a fun show

Lots of very tempting things at the show. It’s my new favourite pub
Well done
Thank you

I was good and kept my wallet I’m my pocket
Nice review of the show but your side table still makes me think of the Martian invaders in H G Wells - War of the Worlds .
Thank you
Were you recommending something that SawStop were manufacturing to prevent injuries? If so, I missed what it was. Could you elaborate?
That looks like a place to go away from with lots of lovely goodies for the workshop and an extremely empty wallet Matt. 🤣
I managed to do well and buy nothing.

Thank you. Yes I prefer hiding in the workshop.
@@Badgerworkshop don't we all? 😂

Shame you have no shows. I moan about a three hour drive to one.
7:49 🤣😂
I’m sure he won’t mind
that lad around 2mins, proper Yorkshire lol.
Yes lots of locals there
Apologies Matt, I also contributed to distracting you from working. But good to meet you on the Friday 👍
Was nice to meet you. All distractions welcome
The fat badger pub looks right up your street.
It is a great place
Matt, I really love your videos and don't like to complain but found it hard to make out a fair bit of your voiceover, all live stuff was OK.
I will see if I can make it louder next time
@@Badgerworkshop Clearer rather than louder, it sounded like you were behind a blanket. 😳
Still, you look as if you had a great time
I did thank you
The problem with saw stop is that if they get this patent made mandatory on all saws in the uk, there will be no more budget saws available
That's not going to happen.
Tell this company to go away. As its a big con. If people followed the correct way of using the tools you wouldn't need this saw stop.
