- Welcome back to the channel. It’s been a while since I filmed any minibike builds. I have built a few trikes and a few mini bikes, and today I assemble the second minibike. We start with the motor the famous harbor freight predator 212. I show you how to eliminate the governor and get it ready for throttle cable. Then we assemble my custom minibike, very traditional, like minibike. I buy the front forks from go power, sports, and all the parts. I decide to build an exhaust and even talk about price and how to get a hold of me. TMESERAULL@gMaIL.com

The governor is still there. It is the pin that goes inside the motor. Connects to a gear on the crank. You removed the throttle linkages and left the governor in tact

They make some good top plates for these that'll put the stuff for your throttle linkage back in its original place but without governor

Remember children… NEVER remove the governor unless you're prepared to upgrade the flywheel and billet rod, and possibly the valve springs. Many of these engines don’t have accurate dyno ratings, and their advertised numbers often overstate what the stock flywheels can handle. A flywheel explosion could be catastrophic, potentially causing severe injury. If you plan on removing the governor, make sure to upgrade to a billet flywheel for safety.

@@cheezior1670 What you need to consider is the RPM rating of the original flywheel. Many Chinese manufacturers tend to exaggerate their numbers, and there's often no reliable rating for the stock flywheel that comes with the engine. So, be cautious if you see any high RPM claims. Even if you simply zip-tie the governor, your RPMs will increase significantly, which could cause the flywheel to shatter because the poorly made glued magnet on the flywheel can't handle the higher speeds.
