    You can tell he was just a young pup. They all play fast, go for everything and try and screw back as much as they can. That gets a wee bit safely oriented as they get older. He’s the GOAT btw

    BOTH legends of the sport. A lot of admiration for Dennis.. aaahhh... and whispering Ted Lowe.. God rest his soul. Every time I pick up a cue I can hear his voice.. Even if it's only a few times a year now..

    He was like a little whippet when he was young, rushing around the table like Ronnie O'Sullivan. He slowed down a tiny bit as he got older but he was still fantastic. One of my favourite players.

      As soon as Hendry came on to the scene you just knew he would be a star. When it come to bottle, mental strength and producing the goods under pressure Hendry was in a league of one

    I like the way Davis paid a lot of respect to Hendry here saying the shoreline was fair and if he keeps playing like that they will have some good battles in the years ahead..Davis knew he was the right person to take his crown

    It's such a dire shame though with Ronnie not having something like this to look back on as with his family situation, i know there is one of when he was a amateur with his father, but nothing like a major.
    amazing this.

    That killer winning instinct in his eyes literally was visible from the very first ranking title a great snooker player in my vision if a guy can win 7 world championships with a rack cue , then he is just a modest guy saying o’sullivan is the best player ever picked a snooker cue no offense to ronnie he is awesome but this guy is a winner

    • @everythingbobbywolfe
      @everythingbobbywolfe 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Respectfully, every pro player, with the odd exception hey or there, believes Ronnie to be the best ever. He equaled the ranking titles, has 5 world championships and doesn't play in nearly the amount of tournaments that the others do. He also did this while battling a substance abuse problem and mental health condition. Can you imagine what Ronnie would have accomplished had he not turned to drugs/alcohol and played in all the seasonal tournaments? There's no doubt he'd have at least 10 more titles and most certainly have at least tied Stephen for world championships.

    • @everythingbobbywolfe
      @everythingbobbywolfe 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @B you've spoken the real truth (no pun intended). I do believe the only man in history to really be able to compete with Ronnie, is Hendry. The natural ability of Ronnie is something out of a fairy tale, it is so beyond comprehension. It is very tough to say, really. They played against a slightly different group, at different times, have different life issues... Very tough indeed. I believe my money would still be on Ronnie (prime vs prime with no substance issues or mental issues obstructing).
      In years to come I suspect the Judd trump argument with become a topic amounst the snooker community, if it hasn't already.

      Real Truth What a lot of crap. Can you imagine what Hendry would have achieved if his cue never got snapped. He’d never have lost the one to Ebdon that’s for sure. Snooker at that level becomes mostly a mental game and Ronnie was never there from the off in that regard. Drink and drugs? That’s his downfall and stuff like that was Jimmy’s too. Hell mend them.

    • @room1recording
      @room1recording 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      B I’m not annoyed. Just stating facts. Hendry also had his dad leave when he was young too. Ronnie’s had his chances to equal Hendry and when it came to the crunch against Selby he couldn’t do it. That was him at his mental peak too. You also have to take into account Hendry getting the yips or he would have continued playing his one visit style of snooker for many more years. God knows what else he would’ve won.

      well he has now, it did take him 31 years though it took hendry 14. Hendry still the best for me. 5 consecutive world titles and 5 consecuive masters, deciding frame 147 the most centuries ever though osullivan has bettered some of these records he took far more tournaments and years to do so, and hendry century total includes many games where opponents knew to force a scrappy frame/ hendry invented what we consider snooker now ie. 1 visit snooker and will never likely be bettered and his rankung titles total was done with only average 6 per year for most of it. Ronnie is exceptional sometimes but has never been consistent enough to dominate like Davis or Hendry and has a terrible attitude for a so called gentlemans game.
