That weird usb pink thing is just a light that connects to usb. I know bc Chinese companies gift those when you have an issue with a product and try to send you those as free gifts as compensation for your troubles. Lol.

Interesting concept. Just poorly executed. I can see alot of buyers accidentally breaking their screens with that joystick. I think they should have created a locking mechanism on the screen for when it's connected. As much as I enjoy these games, I can find better.

I thought he was going to crack that screen...wait a minute, maybe that's what you're supposed to do? I got it...there must be an IPS screen hiding just behind all that glare. That's probably how you unlock English text in the menus as well.

Great video. Appreciate your time with your review. There are better versions but at higher price. I just got a cheap used win 10 pc and a cheap 4:3 monitor and installed retroarch. I reused my hori arcade stick from my ps3. Cost me less that $40. 😊

For many years so many of these kind of things are targeted for the kids under 16 to get for a Cool looking Christmas or birthday present..even in the 80's - early 90's my mom got me knock off things like this & again for my son until he found Out what God of war was at 8 yrs old back in '09. From Then he ignored anything that wasn't PLAYSTATION brand

Yeah I wouldn't buy that for any price especially with that terrible screen. Have you try plugging it to HDMI on your HDTV? Maybe the video quality for that may be decent.

The software is indeed crap but I like the portability aspect of these boxes. Plus with the rise of leverless hitbox style controllers, it would be even easier to take with no screw-on parts and less setup time
So if memory serves me well the $300 ones were generally in a metal case with the removable joy stick. The ribbon cable for the monitor was sometimes visible sticking out of the unit. The screen was much better and bigger than what you have here. The build quality was much better. I guess they figured this to be a lower budget version with the emphasis on low budget. Thanks for the honest review. You definitely have a low tolerance for bs which is not a bad thing.😂
I reviewed one of those metal ones some time ago. Maybe the screen was better but Id say the build materials were worse than he shell on this. The metal had the ribbon cable exposed like you said and it was a very rough case, sharp edges, wonky welding... seemed more like a safety hazard lol

Make an AMERICAN version of this thing with like Marvel Vs. CAPCOM, MK, Street Fighter, etc and drop the price too, like you said 80 bucks, and I'm in. Plus.. that pink light BS needs to go. Been a bit frustrated lately with getting set up for recording and what not, lot of things didnt work out how I thought they would and now I am constantly rearranging stuff trying to get back in the groove of things.
