I tried this quick tip. Polygons look good on the layout, but when I tried to export as a GEO-PDF the polygons become squares or rectangles, which are polygons as well but no what I want, in the exported file. Have you had that issue before?

I'm sorry to say that 2.2 do not have this feature. I don't know of any alternatives either.
