I actually think succor creek was just as beautiful and more secluded! Although the Owyhee reservoir was awesome to kayak. We to snively hotsprings first but there were ENTIRELY to many people and the Boondocking sucked…. In our opinion! The river was gorgeous!! We are going to hit you up on some “must see” Washington hidden gems. I’ll message you😃

The Michigan beaches get bombarded with rockhounds. We haven't been, but I hear it can be challenging in popular spots. Montana is another great area for agates along the Yellowstone River.

The funniest thing was what happens to many of us lovers of the great outdoors. You find a beautiful serene, tranquil very relaxing and quiet camping spot. You enjoy some quality time in a quality location. Then wakeup to side by sides, 4 wheelers and RVs. Kids running, screaming and playing. Lol.. I agree! Time to move on the the next great location. We don't really get thundereggs up here in Canada, but they are still one of my favorite rocks, I love cutting them bc it's a bit of a gamble if you are going get a good one but when it's good it is amazing!

Maybe that's the kind of adventure we could have. Some fun rockhounding in WA. Owyhee has some great hiking if you ever get there. We did a canyon hike that was spectacular.

We camped at Succor Creek several years ago. Did pick up a few rocks, but kept the urge under control. We did a lot of exploring, Not a place to be when ground is wet, Roads can become quire slick
that was a nice ride in , the scenery not the road lol , lots of geodes and agates out there , really nice camping spot nice to have the camp to yourselves , ooops where they came from lol

Once we discovered rocks it changed our hiking experience and made all the old trails new again. Now we can't help but look at the rocks everywhere we go. 😆

You two are veterinarians, lol! Cool seeing the snow fall and cows just chilling next to you. What a beautiful scenery of the beautiful canyon with the creek and all the nature around you, at first I was thinking wow that's a long drive to get there down this road but then I was think dang it's not long enough, lol. Oh that's a cool mine, wow that goes back pretty far. What a sweet place, so fun to explore and see all the history here, just wonder how many people have visited here. Nice footage of the turkey, I know there are a ton by me, but never seen them unless I'm driving! Cool seeing the egg agates scattered all around like that. Awesome Liz, can't wait to learn from you and grow with you as you learn. I feel 100% the same way, it's been a year, year and a half and I should know more than I do, but then I think the same way, I do know quite a bit. So many sweet thundereggs there, love the insides. Breaking them open is so much fun and I appreciate the ones you sent me so much, we will be getting a flat lap soon here!!! Can't wait to polish some. Each one of these is so different but yet so cool in its own way! I haven't dug for any rocks yet, something I need to try. I appreciate the experience you shared with us. It's like they are everywhere in that ridge there. I think the outsides are so interesting and cool looking too, all the little bumps/bubbles and colors they can be. Is so cool seeing you dig, and then you turned around and showed us the view, wow! Seeing the butterfly on thst flower was so pretty, like I could feel the wind and sway with the flower. You definitely have a nice setup with the cooking table and everything you have there. "So peaceful here" lol, with all the noise behind you! I never seen white Buffalo either, hmm. Great explanation of the road being too long but not long enough. It's one of the more amazing rockhound spots we've been. We're glad some of these beauties fell in yours and Lily's hands. After doing some research on my area up there. Apparently my town was created because of the logging industry, they built a rail road that starts there and runs 7 miles over to the muskegon river to help transport the logs to the river, which is way bigger than my current river. That railroad is way longer now, but thats cool history to know. Plus the river I've heard has great puddingstones and fossils. It also start up above us and run all the way a crossed the state to lake Michigan, I didn't know that. Plus there should be artifacts all around this river! The wild life I will have to worry about some what though, black bears, bobcats, coyotes, and a few others. After we get settled in there, I'm headed out to make my first adventure. I miss making videos, even though it's only been five days, lol. Probably be about a week before my next one! Anyway hope you two are doing well, be safe and enjoy life! That scenery almost looks like something from a different planet at the start , a South west vibe for sure but not quite, I like it. Any Idea what they mined in the area ? HOLY !! I am in Love with the Geode at 16:04 ... and Charlie 100% man thats how I camp I like my stuff ready to go if I got to go and love when people camp far away from me, but stealing fire wood is some Bull Poop man LOL. I wish we had thunder eggs in my neck of the woods ..I guess that only means one thing ...ROAD TRIP !!!! I totally see the racoon he's a chonky boy , great video guys ... Also the painting is American Gothic ;)
The landscape was really so unique. We're gonna go back that way eventually. Some of the best rockhounding. We have thundereggs in WA but they're squished and usually boring compared to these guys. I was camped in that very camp site. I did eat meat, and learned about geodesic from a couple nurses from Boise, Idaho. What a beautiful place!

Fun fact, waterline is not an agate, it is chalcedony, but does not have concentric banding, since it has parallel banding it is considered Onyx
