Beautiful place to see. You and I see the (as you put it ) rose looking ones a bit different. LOL I see poo. They are interesting for sure. Jim is a goofy guy for sure. He makes me laugh so much.
What an awesome video! Succor Creek has a whole lot of different areas to hound from, and the place where you went is mostly a discard pile but the ones you do find to keep from there can be really pretty! a lot is empty rhyolite shells but you found some awesome chalcedony and bot filled pieces, and even the empty rhyolite shells can be pretty, as you found out. They look like roses! You definitely need to give yourself a whole lot more time and check out the different beds. That whole section of oregon is loaded with different minerals and gorgeous rocks! You would love graveyard point and its not terribly far from succor creek. But you need to come back when its not raining! Which is a very short window in oregon! lol! great video! You two are such characters, i love it!
What a fun day you and Jim had out there, so many different eggs finds out there with different insides. So cool, beautiful views out there, can't beat that alone, wow. Thanks for sharing Kate, super inspiring!
Really cool to see another state's rocks and area. Some of those are really pretty! I especially liked the ones with the green, rhyolite?, on the outside and middles and the druzy and botryoidal on and in them. Thanks for sharing!✌️🤠
So cool these are! I could spend forever looking( and sketching) each one of those eggs of thunder ! You are both so sweet, and match each other perfect like!
I just spent the last 3 days of may camping out there that hillside across the bridge at the campground if you hike up there's thousands of them showing 😁
You guys are so much fun. It IS hard to go to a new place and know where to start. It’s frustrating to drive a long way then have an hour or so to scurry about. You found some interesting stuff😁
You guys make an adorable team! Very interesting rocks! Mr. Did is officially a full blown rockhound, now, in my opinion. Also, that really was amazing scenery!
I was going to comment on the finds, but you guys made me laugh so much I forgot what I was going to say!😂😂😂 It is awesome to visit a different area! I think the ones with white in the center were very pretty, and I love your rose garden Kate! When you showed it I immediately pictured a water fountain in the center of it! Awesome video you two!!👍👍👍
I wonder if the bright-orange surfaces could be due to iron-oxidizing bacteria. I'm not sure what they look like when dry, but they could be either refining or degrading your lovely samples while dining on iron. I wonder.
A buddy of mine has a claim in that area and I usually buy Succor eggs from him, but only the geode hollow ones. He told me nobody wants them, but they are beautiful inside the interiors. They sell like hotcakes around here. Their sizes are about large grapefruit size..
Hi 👋 👋 👋 👋 Katie just wondering is the Sucker Creek in Montana or Idaho because we have here in Idaho. I've never been there yet but am planning on going there soon. Its not far from my house so hoping to go there soon.

That was a pretty interesting trek today.👊🙏
It's an incredible place.
Rhyolite is so pretty by itself. The addition of chalcedony and opal make them super special!.
I agree. Next time we visit we'll spend more time.
Love your videos keep on doing 👍🤙😎
Glad you like them! :)
That was the first place I looked for thundereggs. It is some very pretty rhyolite. Right up there with Friend Ranch in my mind.
It's a beautiful site.

I suspected as much! Maybe next time. :D
