I’ve got the same issues as Boogie (abusive childhood, disability, obesity, mental illness) and never think about my childhood, really. Most *real* victims don’t want to relive it again and again.

I talk from personal experience cuz I did those mistakes. I talked about my traumas over and over because I was searching for pitiness (not that I was lying, my bad experiences were real, but knowing that sharing was the only way to gain some affection became more like an addiction). Looking back now I cringe a bit and I preferred to move on.
