- It is Kintaro's 6th birthday.
Many fans visited the park.
As usual, the routine is to watch the gorilla house indoors in the morning, and then watch Momotaro and his family go to work on the grounds.
Italian ryegrass and carrots are especially popular for breakfast.
The video was filmed from about 14 minutes into the video, which was taken after they returned to the park in the afternoon.
They came out to the indoor grounds for lunch.
Dad Momotaro was indoors when we noticed him.
By the time Momotaro came out to the ground again, the indoor viewing area was lined with fans in front of the study room.
I thought it would be better if I could watch from the gap from the beginning.
While we were waiting, father Momotaro and Kintaro started to play. They started playing in a very hard-to-see place, and then moved to the study room, where a little incident occurred.
When Momotaro chased Gentaro to the ground on a rainy day, it was when he was angry.
I could not film it but it was not a big fight.
A relief.
After a snack of beans, Kintaro's special birthday cake tsuzuri begins.
You can see how anxious he is in the next room.
Then Kintaro starts eating the cake by himself.
At first, he started with an apple.
I didn't have the strength to watch (or film) the whole thing, so I retired halfway through and went home.
I was cheered up again today! Thank you♪

京都市動物園は毎年ケーキを作って一人で美味しい物を食べれる様にして貰ってみていて嬉しくなりますね。果物や色々沢山、ファンの方からのプレゼントもあるのでしょうか？それともお花だけですかね。他の動物園のゴリラさんも愛されていると思いますがここはテレビでも放映されたりとても人気があって皆んな愛らしいですね。げんたろう君が幸せな独り立ちができると良いですがね。怪我したり、また清正君は叱られてお父さんを怖がった時期があって。ここは別のお部屋や空間があってきちんと考えて貰っているのが判りますが皆んな幸せになれると良いですね。ゴリラさんは本当ナイーブで難しくお世話するのは大変な事でしょうね。見ているだけで癒やされるシーンを離れているのに見れてとても感謝しています。

What are the flowers for
Their habitat looks like a big jail cell!!! These zoo's surely can provide a better environment than this. Where is the stimulation and enrichment programs they should be providing these primates? This is heart breaking to think you took them out of their beautiful natural habitat, and forced them to live in a jail cell the rest of their long lives. And the outdoor area is way too small of an area for these primates.This is disgraceful!!!.
Yes it's true wish they could get outta there looks bored outta they minds. Wish they could go to a sanctuary in African somewhere they are protected!
But the biggest problem for them in the wild is human primates.
