The Momotaro family were all born and raised in Japan!
Momotaro (father) was born on Jul 3, 2000
He came to the Kyoto City Zoo in 2010.
Genki (mother) was born on June 24, 1986.
I was born in Kyoto and came back to Kyoto.
Gentaro (eldest son), born on December 21, 2011

Wow! Got to love the little Boss ax Gorilla, Kintaro. He was bringing Momotaro that smoke. Kintaro, you ain’t to be played with.
I wonder if the gorilla's can hear all those kids screaming? I would go crazy if I had to hear that daily!!! They seem to get mad..unlike the other Japan zoo.
It just amazes me to see Kintaro taking on his much bigger brother full force and chasing after him and a moment later he is tenderly looking after his mother. So sweet! I love him! 💖💓💖💕💕💕

Kintaro the warrior child, he went right after his father no screeching from him other then his I am pissed at you dad. Good for him he is not submissive at all.

They badly need a new enclosure
Does anyone else think Kintaro going to grow into a major alpha male? Even though Gentaro is much bigger Kintaro has wrestled and picked on him fearlessly even when he was alot smaller! I don't know if this is typical behavior for male gorillas but it still captivates me. 🙂❤
This is typical of human brothers too.
The small one always goes full force, and if the older brother ever goes full force they get in trouble and the baby runs to mama. Older brothers have to show lots of restraint...and the younger ones go wild.
A tale as old as time for brother great apes...human and gorilla.
