Nice looking, slow and steady got it up a difficult hill. Gooood driving Abby. Someone mentioned a selfie stick, that would definitely save your back. The being out of breath. The front lights are like fog lights...very cool. It does look like a Toyota 4Runner, and it's a great crawler!! It is very scale to it's power and size...Most crawlers are massively overpowered compared to a full sized vehicle. But this beastie has the right combination of size and power. Nice.

Venting the tires so they can deflate a little and filling them halfway with beebees would help with traction and lowering the center of gravity. A plus is there are so many small oil filled shocks out there in the local hobby stores so as you progress you can spend a little extra to really in improve this little guy! I just might be buying 3 for some of us big kids in the family and do at minimum the tire mods! Great video guys!
Seems to have a bit of torque twist. Since it came with strong springs an easy thing you could try is replacing the left rear spring with a stronger one. If that helps you could also change out the front left spring. I saw the body lean a lot when steering too, there's not much you can do about that since it's a chassis mount servo. It does have a nice realistic ride in the slow motion segments. Cool little truck. And it's cool to see you getting more into and better appreciating the hobby of scale crawling. When I first started watching your youtube channel you were doing some trail runs, but not really into crawling yet at that point. I can only hope that some of my comments over the past couple years have helped get you more into the world of scale crawling.
This is a sweet truck. I should have mine soon. Yeah it's funny they say the battery is built in. I think it's a way for them to get away with shipping it with a battery but who knows lol. Good review guys!
These we're actually updated, they now have a 3 link in front with pan hard= no bump steer and no more wobbly steering effect👍
Hobby Plus delivered another great value in this 1/18 truck! It's a strong outdoor performer for the money, looks great, plus it's small enough to enjoy indoors!

My mini t 2.0 came with one.
I never leave the remote on by accident because I can take it apart!! Maybe that’s why they designed it to come apart.

No stickers? Looks like a fun little crawler, and i love the looks of it, wish that they had the headlights on the body as well. But I have never understood putting the on/off switch in a place where you have to take apart the rc to get to it, at that point is just plugging in a battery that big a deal, if you have a switch put it where you can reach it with the thing assembled

This looks cool! It's weird, I look at it from the front door back and see a Explorer. Look at this from the grill, looks like the 4Runner. Either way it's neat. Like the faded/ yellowish lights, an older vehicle realism! Was that a lipo? I heard the 1/24 Deadbolt was lipo but found out it was lithium ion so I have to use the charger it came with. Going have to check this one out!

Not for that price....WOW! It's cute I will hand you that. I couldn't justify blowing that much on something that small for that price. It does like nice. It's almost small enough to mount a plastic model body on. I know bigger RC cars cost a lot but I also see many of them lasting forever too. Keep up the great reviews! You will always get my support. Awesome channel!

Latest versions now have panhard bar to stop the bump steer.

That may be the perfect crawler for my son.
I bought one of these and loved it I drove for 2 days then it’s stopped working though. For example only the steering would work then I would turn it off amd back on again and only the gas would work amd not the steering it made me sad because my mom tried really hard to get me something I would use because were poor

I think that depends on how much you know about RCs. If you can get it running strong again for $100 or less I'd say go for that for sure! Otherwise, a shiney new RC may be in your near future, lol 😉👍😎⚓

I think people like the scale crawlers because they are cheaper than a full size crawler and you dont die when you go rolling down a hill. A interesting you tube channel I follow is litebrite nation They have a four door jeep on 40 " tires doing the 19 trails of merit.
I have watched some Lite Brite videos. I like watching full size off-roaders so I have something to compare my scale crawling to so I can try to be as realistic about it as I can. My brother builds and repairs (full scale) rock crawlers, and has an Axial Wraith that looks so much like his real crawler I sometimes have to look close at photos to tell if it's real or RC.

@Robert Hipp The discs are much smaller then a Frisbee, and just like golf that you have several different clubs that go certain distances, there are different shaped discs for putting, fairway drivers and long distance drivers. We usually carry 8 to 12 different discs in our bag. It's a fun game to play.

We noticed that too. Maybe the steering servo is a little too big for this truck?
@@TheRcSaylors it's because it's a chassis mounted servo, not an axle mounted one on traditional rigs. The gen 8 has some bump steer as well, it's the angle it gives, but I've found it doesn't hinder it's performance at all.

I ordered multiple rc’s in one order but everything arrived separately and tons of stuff missing. Now I have RTR rc’s and they have never been run. Shame about the company because some stuff when they get it right looks ok. & they wouldn’t send replacements. & they dragged it on for months then said sorry the warranty only lasts a month. What a bunch of scheming scamming scoundrels.
We are sorry to hear about that experience, wow. That is bad. You know, weve had just as bad an experience with amazon, surprisingly but it was a one time thing sort of. Ordered "The Office" DVD set and it showed up broken, no big deal, returned it. They never got it, so we paid for a second one and it never showed up. Paid for it three times and we still dont have it in hand.. 🙁
I would prefer buying from you. But your eBay store is always empty 😂. Bangnotsogood stalled me until my warranty ran out. It was a pointless experience. I can’t find spares online either. I need/want lights for my WLTOYS f959 powered glider the most. I really wanted it to fly at night. & it was the only reason I ordered a bunch of rc’s. 🤪 crazy I know but you guys said it was awesome so I wanted to try it. & I seen a bunch more too which I ordered for a community project. I cancelled my other orders from bangnotsogood. Amazon ain’t too bad. I can return something to amazon and it’s pretty easy. Bangnotsogood wouldn’t accept any returns or send replacements until I contacted PayPal. They wanted me to return everything I ordered. Even the little cheaper toys which were ok and given away. & they split up my order into multiple parcels. BUT they also said if anything is missing from the entire order I won’t get a refund. So I didn’t bother.
Now I’m looking for the spares/parts they didn’t want me to have.
Oh well the search continues.
Traxxas Latrax teton is $129 with spare parts easy to find/buy...this can't be $130

Okay, that was neat, but it's really too small for outside crawling. And crawling is not what it does anyway. It's more like scrambling. Not very realistic and not very satisfying to me. It would be okay for a kid's toy or some nice indoor obstacle competition on a cold winter day. It has its place but not as a crawler.
Depends on terrain and mindset.
@@WhiteDean45 Probably the case. If that's what you have, you find a way to get the most from it. But I'd still rather have 1/10 scale. If RedCat ever gets the Rockslide RS10 back in production, I'm in.
