    K31 Road Engineering products are cost-effective, environmentally safe, water-dispersed specifically engineered to bind with soils creating a pavement. These products are also ideally suited for heavy topical applications to prevent soil migration and light topical applications for dust and erosion control.
    Unlike standard asphalt, K31-APS does not leech into the ground. In fact, a considerable amount of the oil and tar that are originally laid down on asphalt roads leech into the soil below, getting into our waterways, plant life, and overall surrounding environment (that's one of the reasons why they go from black to grey over a few years).
    K31-APS is a revolutionary, product by K31 Road Engineering that serves to control dust, and erosion and harden soil without harming the surrounding environment. The topical manual hand spray application offered by K31 makes this product a convenient and effective dust control solution.

    This is a simply soil stabilizer , bonds soil particles together and makes a strong mass , it's ok.But it can't be as strong as concrete or asphaltic road , it may be used at some specified remote places in limited edition , still I feel it will work better with laterite or moorum type soil which has a better binding capacity , not suitable in sandy or clayey soil .

    • @k31
      @k31  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      There are dozens of what you call "simple soil stabilizers" and K31 is not one of them. With the right soil, our clients have achieved a PSI level similar to low-grade concrete. It does work well with laterite, but it works even better with sandy soils. If your PI is higher than 20% then you will need to reduce it by adding an alternative aggregate. In low-traffic roads, it will replace asphalt while saving lots of time and money. It can also be used to replace the road base for highways eliminating the need to bring in large stones and sand. Plus it's a great solution for erosion and dust control on slopes for highways and railways. Thank you for your comment.

    Rural roads are very much affected by vegetation na erosion. How does this product perform on those issues?

      Once compacted and sealed it can handle this issue the same as an asphalt or concrete road. Thank you.

    I tot of polymer ratio 1:9 can cover how many m2? Thank you

    • @k31
      @k31  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The water amount is irrelevant and only depends on the humidity of the soil at the time of the mix. You want to be at 110% OMC including the polymer. For erosion control, you will be good at a rate of 0.5 liters per m2. The water is used to make sure the polymer is spread evenly, later the water will evaporate and only the APS remains. Hope this explanation answers your question. Thank you.

    what are the ration for the sub base and what material do you use? thank you

    • @k31
      @k31  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      For the base, we use a 1:6 K31-APS to water. Sandy laterite works the best for soil stabilization due to its natural mechanical bonding qualities.
