I would love to have visited Helsinki..as I was stranded at the airport (own fault) for 4 days!..(recently returned)..But not taking a bus...If there was a train I might have been tempted.(maybe there was..but wasn't obvious..to me anyway)..Buses are not really for tourists...they are designed for locals...When I was in Japan..I only ever used a bus twice in the 2 times I've visited..The rest of the time it was walking or trains...The reason for me is so I don't have to deal with the driver. I dont speak the language, and chances are, they won't speak mine. So knowing where to get off and times table etc make it to much effort...Yes you can say the same for trains..but they are on set route that is easy to follow and your not having to deal with the driver!..haha..(as we know bus drivers tend to be a miserable bunch)...So I stayed in the airport...for 4 days!...Helsinki will always be just an airport stop over point for me..sorry Finland.
Well there is a train from airport to Helsinki center. I am a bus driver, definitely not rude but I have to confirm some of us are exactly like you described. I would definitely not advice to take a bus from airport to the city because it's so slow and full of locals going 1-3 stops. So yes they are mainly for locals
Which regions are you talking? I don't live in the Capital city, but I have used the HSL app. If you are talking about Tampere, then it is true. But this video is for Helsinki, Vantaa, Espoo, Sipoo, Tuusula, Kerava. The HSL app will cover all these cities.
Hi, I have a spouse permit and receive unemployment compensation from kela. My residency permit expires in January. I must provide proof of funds in my bank account. As a result, I didn't spend the money I received from Kela and instead spent just 100 to 150 euros per month. Is it an issue if I save the kela money to use as my funds (show money), or do I have to spend it ? ~Thanks

HSL service is applicable for capital city. But different regions have their own apps in their identical name.

You can save of course. But I am not sure if it is a good idea to show kela money as a source of funds.
@Mahfuzulhaque ok, thanks alot 🙏

You cannot. You need to apply as a regular student.
