While in Northern Ireland, we took a trip to see this gem of a find! This a super clean 1982 Toyota Starlet with a C20XE Vauxhall Swap, running 300 HP naturally aspirated!

@user-wv1pj6wh4h I agree. I really like the C20XE engine (have a Corsa rally car fitted with it), but there are such quality Toyota engines available... It is a beautiful build though

Cosworth participated in the development of that engine and the head on the C20XE is Cosworth. Even I, who had 3 Opel Kadett GSi 16v and currently have an Opel Calibra 2.0 16v 4X4 for the project, didn't know that until about ten years ago, and I'm 49. ;-)@user-wv1pj6wh4h

The mk2 running gear is more to do with the category that it's built to run in which is group 4 or modified whichever you prefer to call it the bulk of the cars running in the category are Mk2 Escorts so the component's which are available have been developed for the Escort

I real big soft spot for the kp
My uncle used to race em in the national hot rods oval back in the day

So 300hp was 284 and 2 litre is 2,1 litre. Makes sence.. Nephev used to dragrace an Opel Kadett with a 2-litre NA CX20E that made 264hp but that was a long time ago. Guess they have developed further by now 👍

I would love to, the issue I have is the second you put a camera in someone’s face an say talk, they clam up and are not natural. Hence all the interview videos are at a funny angle as they don’t know I am filming our conversation.
It’s a hard balance.
