Love my Chucks. I have original and 70's, and a pair of One Stars, and One Star slip-ons, and a pair of Black Ox something or other. They're all super comfortable

I see they make wide fit Chuck Taylors. I might have to give them a try. I owned about 8 different pairs of Chuck Taylors growing up in different colors. I always go to the classic black and white color for retro aspects, but I also loved my royal blue ones I had as a teenager.
Can't go wrong with a pair of Chuck Taylors. If you do decide to get a pair, I've had a lot of people have recommended the Chuck 70. It's essentially a more upgraded and comfortable version of the classics.
@@ChrisRawls I heard about them. They have a little bit more padding in them, but they don’t offer them in wide fit.
@@MarkMeadows90 Chuck 70s fit a little wider than regular chucks but also more narrow in the toe itself. It’s a weird shoe. Looks great but fits weird.

Patch has never been on the outside, I remember as a kid thinking why is it not on the outside. If you saw one or owned one that had the patch on the outside then it was a fake. or I like the call the F*ucks Fake Chucks. the two side eyelets are def. for air flow but I love that people are creative and use them for laces and ohhhh if Snoop Dog can wear his Chucks with suit so can you :)
Chucks now aren’t what they used to be. They’re a lot better, by far. These things used to bust my feet as a 5th and 6th grader. That new insole they use is what’s bringing this shoe back, cause there’s not much support here if we’re being honest. Just got a pair a Journey’s today. I went with the exclusive royal blue color they carry

The eyelets are 100% for air flow. Basketball players complained of how other shoes made their feet so sweaty....so they introduced the breathers on the side.
I can’t seem to wear Chuck 70s. They’re so different from “classic” Chucks. Man last time I wore Chucks I don’t recall a removable insole… 🤔

Excellent video!. In my experience I don't usually use white chucks because they are difficult to wash. Maybe for a future video you can tell us how to clean them properly.
Ouuuuu that would probably be a good video idea. I think a lot of people avoid white canvas shoes for that same reason.

I got a pair recently in black i had to take them back to get a smaller size cause we were in a rush that day 😂 accidentally got a size 12 when i needed 10.5 the 12 was comfortable but wayyyy to long
I love my Chucks but I had to add an insole for extra support, my foot arches were killing me without it.
i bought an converse chuck taylor and im flat feeted and after i bought it i saw this vidoe and i heard its not good for flat or wide and now i think i regreted it😅😅

I wear a size 10 in old school vans and tried on a size 9 converse 70s and it fits well no heel slippage but the toe box feels narrow.

Every spring/summer I buy a new pair! They last a year EASY, just buy some super glue at the dollar store.... You will thank me later. But for $60.... You can't beat them. It's the only shoe I can wear in Sumner that don't make my feet sweat crazy. They are super comfortable to me and is one of the ONLY shoes that actually look better dirty. I'm just a plain black all star guy, but love wearing the white ones sometimes.

Lol, surprisingly comfortable.
The classic chucks I just bought do not have a removable insole and do not have the felt fuzz on the outsoles. They’ve also changed the inside lining from cotton to a mixed fabric. The outsole also has some weird multiple types of rubber now. They also don’t have the size stamped on the bottom anymore. So weird.
It's funny I have a pair from 2021 and was just looking to upgrade I immediately recognized the inside fabric is completely different kind of like a mesh material.. I didn't try them on because I was disappointed.. Do they feel good with new fabric in?
No difference in the feel wearing them with the strange liner but I think I like the cotton regular liner better!! I don’t know why Nike has to change the liner.Converse told me that die hards are not happy

The biggest difference is the width of the wide fit in the arch and toe box are bigger than the regular fit. But the length is all the same.

I cannot wear Chuck 70's high tops, only low tops. All Stars, I can wear the high tops.
Is it weird that I have a harder time stylin white leather hi tops more than just canvas? Also I'd definitely suggest the Chuck 70s for the 10 extra bucks. They feel a lot nicer and thats from a life long Converse fan
Nah not at all. Leather hightops kind of sit in that gray area (especially if they're white) where it's like you could dress them up or go the street route, but there is no real direction unless they're some crazy colorway compared to canvas where it's like yeah....wear anything and it'll probably look good. I was thinking about the Chuck 70, but it looked like the sole was thicker and I preferred the thinner look (correct me if I'm wrong).

Blazers are true to size. These are about 1 full size too big. I think going 9.5 would probably fit.

It’s still glued, but as you can see it doesn’t take much to pull it off and it goes back in easily

How do you get the inside sole out of the shoe? Mine feels like glued in.
It is glued.... You can just pull it out though. It takes a bit but it will come out. Start from the heel and work through.
