  • Myanmar: Junta on The Verge of Collapse, Calls For a Political Solution
As fighting continues to escalate, Myanmar's Junta chief has called on rebel ethnic groups to find a political solution.
Myanmar's junta is on the verge of collapse after coordinated offensives from armed ethnic groups since October.
Myanmar's military has lost control over borders with China, India and Thailand and hundreds of troops surrendered to the ethnic groups.
Is the end of the Myanmar junta near? Watch this video for details.

I am from Myanmar and many Myanmar people myself support this revolution. Pls don’t call our fighters rebels; if you don’t know about Myanmar history and background, don’t talk recklessly. If you don’t help us with arms or money, at least please do support our cause. This army has to be reformed and the people involved will be brought under justice.

The word rebel often has a positive connotation in the West. Those who fought for American independence called themselves, and are still called, rebels. Russian rebel forces operating in Ukraine are highly respected in the public opinion. So are Myanmar rebellion forces, because they are rebelling against an oppressive and corrupt regime.

The political solution is simple: Restore Democracy. And be a military that serves the government rather than seeking to overthrow it.

From my limited knowledge that I know of the war situation, the various factions fighting the Junta have allied with themselves and have taken over a lot of the outskirt territories of Myanmar. Now if they were able to take central Myanmar that would spell the near end of the Junta but that would be a tough task as the Junta is better equipped. Regardless, if the Junta is defeated I hope the various other factions are able to come together and finally build a stable government.

Once Junta is defeated, the various factions will come together and form a weak govt, they would be allied to their own interest. Each faction will claim its own Province & absolute rule over it. This Govt might survive for few years, there wont be elections, then the govt breaks down and these factions will fight each other in a stupid civil war. Till these have a common enemy, they are united, the moment the common enemy is gone, they will fight each other. Seen in Afghanistan, Libya havent we?

Another thing is if Aung San Suu Kyi is killed during the overthrow the country will most likely descend into chaos. She one of the people uniting the ethnic groups. There is no way that a military can defeat its own people in the real war. The entire people itself is the most extremely powerful force that nothing can defeat. The people's collective strength is colossal and this JUNTA is just a piece of strength that overthrown their government leaders and put themselves into power without fully understanding the risk and consequences. I am open to suggestion but I think there are only two possible outcome to the Myanmar Conflict.
Possibility 1 : The Junta remains confined to a particular region in power like the Assad Government in Syria with the help of Beijing.
Possibility 2: The Junta collapses and the rebel forces turn on each other like in Africa.
Either way, both situations do not favour India. All the projects initiated by our India would not yield any positive result since our New Delhi is allowing the Myanmar rebels to operate in our India. I believe that China have a better leverage on this conflict and for India, demographic change in Manipur is already visible.
I understand that life is tough in Myanmar but with the involvement of Myanmar CHINS in Manipur conflict and their frequent arrest for cross-border drug trafficking, I do not tolerate the presence of Myanmar nationals in India.

Yes, Op.27 Oct '23 could be the beginning of the End for Army Junta; and sizing up the issue Junta's collapse could be reckoned as: -
#The war is weird cos there is no such war in modern war history as War between National Army & Citizens of the Nation State
#In other words Junta's war is a morally wrong war. Hence put simply it has lost the “Moral War”.
#Tipping point of losing “Moral War” is losing “Physical War”; that is land war fought on ground is lost naturally.

The U.S & the west has forgotten of the civil unrest & death & destruction of innocent civilians & their homes at the hands of the brutal dictatorship of it's own military govt. Calls for help to the U.S, U.N & ASEAN only fell on deaf ears stating they cannot interfere due to non intereference policy & yet they helped Ukraine & Israel assisting them with billions of dollars in aid. Myanmar people are tough, courages, resilient & proud people & will fight on their own for their own freedom & don't need help from the west. Now that the military is suffering defeat at the hands of the resistance fighters Myanmar people do not want anyone to interfere. This fight is Myanmar internal affair & let the fight continue until the military is removed from power once & for all & freedom & democracy restored.
