Interesting, I did not know red velvet baking was actually vanilla cake! I had one red velvet cupcake and I did not like it at all, tasted funny. So it seems I did not have a good representation of red velvet cakes! Though, that armadillo red velvet cake in Steel Magnolias did influence me 😂🤢.
