The F-15EX Eagle II is the latest version of the F-15, which features a digital cockpit, fly-by-wire controls, conformal fuel tanks, increased payload capacity, and compatibility with new weapons such as the AIM-9X Sidewinder and the AIM-120D AMRAAM. It's still extremely viable with these upgrades as most nations are well behind us and the ones somewhat on par are buying our jets (in much smaller numbers than we have). These will be operating well into the 2030's.
These are not brand new. These very fighters have been active since the late 80s in the regular air force. It's just the air force are getting new fighters in it's inventory. Whatever the various state airforce national guards get are just "hand me downs" from the main airforce.
Incorrect. These are brand new airframes, having just come off the prosecution line in Iowa. The reason for this is due to the cancellation of the F-22 program a decade ago means that there are no replacements for the current aging F-15 fleet. This is the first time an ANG wing has ever gotten not only new jets, but gotten them before the active duty even. The Oregon ANG is the first to get any new EX Eagles. The role of this Air Wing is long range air patrol and high speed interception. You need a twin engine fighter for this, so the F-16 and F-35 are not an option. Since the F-22 production line was scrapped, the only option was to buy new F-15’s, which the production line has been going for export customers for decades.
@@MA-vw1pl These are coming straight from the factory. This is actually the first instance of any ANG unit recovering brand new aircraft instead of being USAF hand me downs.
So proud to see our local squadron getting only the newest and best equipment and training, to keep us all safe.

The F15. After 50 years, it can be made even better. Still at the top of the food chain. 😁
This thing is like f35 and a f22 and a f18 then the f16 came home early and joined in you get this beast.
I made a comment thanking these pilots for all they do and TH-cam deleted it.
Can you believe that ?
It happens to me regularly.
And how dare you speak👍 positive about our military?

Most F’d up and frustrating thing.
I build a model of the then-new F-15 when I was 8 years old.....that was in *1978* ....
I have a Honda Civic EX. I wonder if they're going to come out with the DX, LX and even an Si version!
I have a Honda model year 2006 Accord EX-L. 4-cylinder 4-door. It’s awesome! 😊
Great cars.
Hondas can really take a beating and still run as new
when u feel the need
No cft attached?
Awesome!
Blue Skies
Gotta have the hybrid and electric version too lol
Which one?🤨
I hope it's quieter
The engines of this jet are 25% more powerful than that of its predecessor. So no.
I thought they were getting F-35s.
State-of-the-art? With a 52 years old airframe since first flight in 1972? How great it is!😂
It's an upgraded version, it might look the same, but it's massively upgraded. Not many new fighters from other countries can beat it at the moment.
It’s considered state-of-the-art due to its avionics suite.
Should come in handy if Canada decides to invade.
They patrol the entire west coast since the 1930's.
Guessing that was a poor attempt at humor, but all's you did is demonstrate your ignorance of the role of the PANG.
Drinking the Kool-Aid every day! It makes you feel safe in an airframe that first flew in '72.
These are newly built aircraft.

They need to put some mufflers on those planes
WAR MACHINES don't care about your Liberal Sensibilities or EPA NOISE STANDARDS
You need to move. They've been flying from this base since before you were born.
