There is a manual call point for the system inside of the bar and they’ve press it my mistake for sure. Same thing happened on Harmony after Covid one day before starting cruising 😂
@@tracymayertravelthere is no manual call point to release that system. It is only activated by the smoke detectors. The manual call points only sound the alarm, not activate the sprinklers.
I was on Symphony 2 months ago and the sprinklers went off in my cabin and others on the same floor. Guest services did not care and offered insulting compensation. In June we were on Liberty of the seas and the cabin sink did not work nor did the tv. Also no compensation was given. After 14 cruises with Royal, it's time for a new cruise line for me. Food quality is also getting worse as well.
I smell exaggeration. Those sprinklers in your cabin would never go off unless they were mechanically broken by you, or if there was a fire to make it hot enough to activate. Sabotage to get an upgrade?
did they flood the promenade? the sprinklers on a cruise ship are very specifically designed to suppress fire without causing flooding. kind of a big deal on a ship.
Yes, everything was flooded, teams were pushing water for hours, they closed many of the surrounding stores and routed people away. We just sat at the bar and watched.
I was on the ship and the promenade, we talked to someone the next morning and was told the wrong fire system was taken out of service, to support the fog machine.
@@tracymayertravelthis story checks out with how it works. When they know there will be pyrotechnics or fog machines in a show they can “deactivate” the detection system and prevent this from happening.

Thanks for the information.

Sorry to hear about your issues!
I just got off Virgin Voyages and it was amazing. I'm switching my loyalty.

A cruise to remember 😂.
Absolutely!

That would have been fun to watch.

That's interesting! Thank you for the information!
