This song was written about my life. I met the most beautiful and amazing woman 40 years ago at the lowest point of my life. I was broken. She introduced me to Jesus. That was a life changer. God has blessed us abundantly as He made her my wife!!!!!!
We are now closer and deeper in love than ever. We so enjoy listening to the 70s & 80s music, especially this song, when we go out crusing in the exotic speed machine I recently bought, simply because I like her.
She still looks hotter than the car, and I don't mind that kind of problem! On top of that, we have 7 adult children and our 5 grandchildren.

Tears. My mom died nov 4 2023. I held had hand as she died. One of the last things I said to her was please let me know you are always with me. A few days later I was watching utube music started playing. I wasn’t paying attention to music i exited out of utube went bk in still playing, I got up went to stereo, the output was changed from tv to fm radio and this song was playing. I cried so hard. It was her way of letting me know she’s with my dad now in heaven.

Got a wonderful son to show for it tho and some great memories. Been divorced 20yrs now, longer than we were together and yet it seems like yesterday. I lost my twin sister weeks after birth so every time I listen to this song I always think of her, so it’s a bit difficult to listen to. Remember this song when came out,that's been a really long time ago for me. Love the video!!!!
Just recently had my 8th grade formal, they hadn't played any slow songs so because this is one of my favorite songs ever, I recommend it. To my surprise the DJ actuly played it, i asked my crush to dance, he actually danced with me, I had my first kiss to this about 2 months ago when we had the formal, but we are happily together now, all thanks to this song. Thank you for this masterpiece
This was the first song played at an ex girlfriend’s HS prom. I remember her walking out and I think I actually forgot to breathe for a couple seconds… She looked beautiful. We broke up due to some bad info from her family that I was cheating. Turned out to be a big ol lie. Her sister later apologized to me but the damage was done. Her sister died 2 weeks later. She was hit head-on by a drunk driver. We went our separate ways we both married other people. Every now and then we managed to say hi to each other. She contracted a rare form of cancer near her heart and passed away in 2019. Every time I hear that song, it brings tears to my eyes 😢.
