Andy has been a amazing find for Judas Priest. Priest has been my #1 band for 41 yrs now. Firepower was a killer album. It’s a top 5 Priest album for me. The songs speak for themselves. Richie Faulkner is a beast of a guitarist and Andy onstage with him is kickass! Cant wait for the new album! Priest rules……STILL!
Glad to hear a long time Priest fan like yourself say that. I was blown away by Firepower, but I’ve heard a few JP fans who didn’t really seem to be a huge fan of it. Can’t wait for the new one!
Amazing they are still killin it JP was my band growing I had all the albums thru ram it down then life got in the way but I still jam out to them it brings right back to the early 80s
I had two black Fernandes Rhoads in the 80’s when I was in Hydra Vein. Amazing guitars for UK guitar players that couldn’t get or afford Jackson’s. I had two EMG 85’s in mine. Regret selling both in the 90’s.
I really hope this gets to Andy ….He is such a force in metal, from playing to producing . I remember as a teen in the late 80’s hearing about Sabbat from some magazine and ordering it from Columbia House or BMG music club. I was into OzzY , Priest, Maiden , All the Bay Area bands etc at that time. ….. When I put on that Sabbat CD and the “Clerical Conspiracy”started, my jaw just dropped. That was the heaviest fastest shit I had ever heard at that point. It’s so cool all these years later to know who Andy was and to know he is now one of the two guitarists in Judas Priest. I got to see them several years back With Andy and Ritchie on guitar when Deep Purple was opening. Thank you very much for the interview with this “Metal God !!! “
prb possible fans backlash with both KK & Glen off stage now.. Judas Priest 2024 version is much more than just a band, noticed how much Glenn they put on credits (and on the stage screen too during songs, btw imo so weird as he's not dead yet), they aren't gonna do that until G.T. is well under ground imo~ at that point, also possible Andy remains a producer only & another hire for a 2nd guitarists ~
This man onstage tone is like a vuntage guitar expert! nailed the vintage tones live in almost every song the playing however is almost completely different from G.T., so it gets so used to.. still, what a blessing to have him working with Rob, Ian, Scott, and very well studio & live combo two guitars with Richie!
Between Priest and Maiden, and Ozzy/Black Sabbath those were the bands that raised me when I was a teenager in the 80's I know every note from every song from all of their albums. When I heard the news about Glenn I almost vomited. I lost Eddie and now my other hero is not well. This is one cruel MF-ing world we live in. And Parkinson is the worst diagnosis for a guitarist that there is. He's given so much to us for so long, all I can do is wish him the best and there can be NO replacing Glenn. Only superseding Glenn. I also wish Andy all the best wishes and good luck.
Not sure who this guy is but he's got some really cool guitars...no offense but priest ain't priest no more like pretty much all the old school bands still tryin to hold on to there 20's ya know...their time has come and gone IMO... stopped goin to concerts really cause hearing these old bands live it's pretty much sad an horrible...not sayin priest is but ya know...I could name off a ton of bands to prove my point but why....
This guy was the guitar player for UK Thrash Metal band Sabbat, who are probably responsible for all the Technical Progressive types of Extreme Metal bands. Whether you think Judas Priest are has beens is irrelevant. Andy Sneap has been an album producer for years, and probably will continue after Judas Priest retires. It's better to be a has been, than a never was , and probably never will be . Judas Priest is doing just fine without your small financial contributions. There's too many azzwholes at shows already, no one will miss you
@@Hecatecrossways man dint realize you guys are so butt hurt over a very true statement I made...sorry if I hurt your guys feelings...just an observation I made and I never said a bad word about priest...re-read that I guess...I would name a shit load of bands off but I dont want to hurt your guys feelings any further...sheesh....
It’s amazing who lands interviews with our guitar hero’s these days . They seem Ill prepared and the subject must walk away saying “ Why the hell did I give an interview to that guy? !! “ such a wasted opportunity , but glad to hear Andy Sneap discussing anything . Thanks
All I wanted to say is thank you Andy for filling in for Glenn and for mastering Priest albums. Sounds huge and you did a huge job with it
Not just mastering - Sneap did the Producing and Mixing! Both of those parts of the process do more for the final product than just Mastering :-)

Having a V onstage makes you instantly photogenic!

True. I stil have the original t shirt!!
Words of wisdom from one of the most important producers in metal since the 2000s starting with Nevermore - Dead Heart in a Dead World
Absolutely 👌
Great interview
28:59 The Fernandes JS-100 Rhoads, OMG, I have one too in white, bought from Ken Hammer from Pretty Maids back in 1987. Awesome guitar!
Very cool interview 🖤❤️🖤
The answer to every question:
"It looks cool"
Got an Edwards V with Evertune just like that. Amazing instrument!
I still have the Kerrang with Wolf and his V 😊
I don't know how he isn't an official member of Priest yet. Man kills it every show.

Hail To England tour must have happened my daft mate had a tour shirt bless him. Totally agree about Merciful Fate by the way hahaha

The best thing Andy can do is to bring sabbat again.should be great.
Love my 80's Fernandes guitars
Dope
That white Fernandes is legend.

Sabbat !!!!!!
Does anyone know if this was filmed recently?
6:20 - exert dominance
Should have asked him about the pure decimating nature of Sabbat.
I want an ESP Ninja so bad
Anyone knows what amp they used on the new Priest? It almost sounds like a EVH with a Marshall poweramp.
Sabbat is my shit
Ohhh I thought he plays Jackson nowadays
Children of bodom
I think the interviewer likes V’s
Poor guy can only answer "Why are Vs cool?" so many times. This whole interview should have been about Sabbat.

I bet you are a joy at the parties you attended uninvited.

As long as Tipton gives his blessing, rock on Andy
