Stand Name: Assault of the Dead Soldiers
Stand User: Jacob "Jack" Redstar
Appearance: The stand takes the form of a golden-armored soldier with a skull for a face and a red cloak. Its body is covered in various bullets and ammunition.
Abilities:
- Gear 1: Jack can summon unknown and dead soldiers from the past to fight for him. They are under his command and can destroy anything with their bullets, including diamonds. Jack can also summon land mines, small fighter planes, and mini tanks to protect him or ambush his enemy. The range of these soldiers is limited.
- Gear 2: If up against a powerful close-range stand, Jack can summon a super soldier that is bigger, stronger, and faster than the rest. This soldier has four arms and is bulky and taller than the rest of the soldiers. It can fight powerful close-range stands on its own.
- Gear 3: The Red Death: Jack can summon a glowing marksmen rifle that can go against requiem stands. This is only used as a last resort in battle against a requiem stand. When fired, the bullet doesn't exist in this world, so its actions don't matter. It is the most powerful and dangerous gun in the world.
Personality: Jack is a loyal and determined member of the Joestar family. He is brave and selfless, always putting himself in danger to protect his loved ones. Jack is also a tactical thinker, using his stand's abilities to gain the upper hand in battles.
Backstory: Jack has been friends with the Joestar family for years, and he considers them his family. When he discovered his stand ability, he knew he had to use it to protect them from any danger that came their way.
Strengths:
- Jack's stand is incredibly versatile, allowing him to summon soldiers and war machinery to fight for him.
- The Red Death is one of the most powerful weapons in the world and can go against requiem stands.
Weaknesses:
- The range of the summoned soldiers is limited.
- Jack can only summon one super soldier at a time, and it drains his energy quickly.
- The Red Death is only used as a last resort in battle against requiem stands.

But fr tho I think the Red death is a bit busted being able to counter requiem you should make it powerful but not Requiem kind of powerful but otherwise the stand is cool and the character is amazing

Like honestly you can't even make the argument that Abbacchio "can't fight" because in the Man in the Mirror Fight, he loads a memory of like a martial artist or something like that and curb stomps Illuso
Yeah plus Abbachio used to be a cop and he is a damn brawler on his own, I could see moody blues just working as a replay for abbachio's attacks amd a counter or 2
In Guilty Gear, there's a character named Bedman whose special moves are "recorded" when he uses them and can be replayed when he wants, so Abbacchio could work that way, maybe also adding a counter that records the opponent's move or something clever like that
They finally added him to the game
I feel like a good playstyle for Toru would be to make his playstyle revolve around traps as a way to simulate the effect of calamity.
And maybe make so when you approach him it triggers stage hazards

I think a super cool way to make Abbachio and Moody Blues work is to have Moody Blues repeat previously used (in the past 10-ish seconds of the match) combos or moves either Abbachios or the enemy's since Moody Blues is all about repeating things that people have done in the past
Feel that would be too op if you make hard hitting combos
they should gave him a gun or something cause Abbachio was a cop
give Moody Blues the record and replay option from HFTF training mode LMAOOOOOO

It's so weird that Abbacchio isn't a fighter since his moveset could be really straight forward in concept: record your own fighting combo and then store them.
I don't see why this isn't hard to code, but then to record your opponent's actions might not be easy either so idk

The future of ASBR modding looks very bright, as there's still much being discovered still! I'm personally excited to see more mods that change gameplay elements (e.g. the DLC in ASB Mode mod)

This Is Important
The fact that the Golden Wind game was gonna come out in the states (Apperently it had finished localization, and had a booth ready for E3), but was canned last minute still hurts my soul.
It's really odd tbh. It was infact at the presentations, it had localized titles for both US and EU(though the US title was just the series title. Kinda lame), it had a release window, it had marketing and mediacoverage and it literally even had the EU boxart finished.
The series wasn't anywhere near as popular back in the west then as it is now, but they were literally so far along that nobody has any idea why they didn't just drop it at some point. At least we have the fantranslation, I guess.
Just noticed in the Alt. Diego showcase at 26:40 - those arent't Star Platinum's hands in the rapid punch, those are straight up missing textures Source Engine/Gmod-style. Might want to get that checked out lmao.

5:15 tbh i REALLY don’t like the cell shading they added to them. The models look like playdoh because of it, and they also stand out way too sharply against the background because they look like they have a spotlight shining on them whilst everything else is much darker in palette

I would personally reccomend a mod me and a group of friends worked on over a couple of months that brings back all the eoh outfits (that hadnt already been brought back by other modders)

one thing i wanna add in cause you didnt talk about it you can see in the gappy skin that his eyes and tongue actually see that they added that gappy has like the different pupils on both sides on each eye and you can even see the tongue having the same effect and i thought that was a minor but also cool thing they have added for gappy

An easy way to implement Abbacchio is to call back to his past as a Cop, give him a Nightstick, maybe even a Gun, some of his stand attacks could be "copy moves", have a Moody Blues counter as his HHA/GHA where you attack it and it turns out you weren't actually attacking Abbacchio
Then people will mod him to be Ryotaro Dojima from Persona 4

25:35 Those aren't SP's fists. They're purple because the texture is missing or broken.
The "broken texture" is an all-purple texture with "ERROR" written in black.
I saw it myself when playing ASBR. Jolyne used her GHA on me and the string texture randomly broke.
From what I've seen so far:
Adding character themes during GHAs can change the vibe entirely

9:40 It's actually not a mechanic specific to Jotaro and Dio, any character with a rush attack can join in on the fun. Even Jonathan with Overdrive Barrage
On another note, the lack of Part 8 characters may seem strange, but my understanding has always been that a large majority of Part 8 characters aren't really "fighters", most of stands have weird effects and their "fights" are moreso psychological rather than physical. As such, Bandai probably has no idea how to make them playable in a fighting game without just making up a bunch of stuff. Probably the same reason we don't have Abbacchio, though I think he'd make for a neat Ditto fighter.
Tbf, the actual reason is that when the original version released a decade ago, part 8 barely had any content yet and the remaster pre-DLC still reflected it.
@@lpfan4491 Yeah, but the Remaster included a bunch of new characters and we're continuously getting new ones through DLC, and even still, the only Part 8 characters in the game today are Josuke and Tohru. So I think my original explanation still holds weight.
