Deep condition your hair after a braid takedown and let your scalp rest for a few days before you put in new braids. Sometimes too much tension on the scalp damages it.
Braids, mainly cornrows, will grow you hair faster than it naturally does. Just make sure to leave em in at least 2-3 weeks and wash it with just water and apply leave in conditioner after. Lastly don’t forget to always sleep with a satin Durag or bonnet
Cornrows cause tension on the scalp which can increase hair loss and decrease circulation. You have to alternate cornrows styles. The best thing is two strand twist.
You need to shampoo your hair its a reason you do it first before using conditioner. Basic science, just using water isn't going to remove oils and dirt from the pores. You need those pores clear before you use conditioner.
Everyone doesn’t have the same scalp…. Sometimes hair doesn’t grow the way it should because of either a fungus that you can’t not see or vitamin deficiency. @Terel1 nooo!! Don't do that! It's not the worst thing but long term it's not great BECAUSE your scalp doesn't need as much moisture as the rest of your hair. Moisture through water is important ofc for the scalp but just trust me, you don't wanna block your follicles or nothing like that. Also sebum production will be chilling on your scalp unless you're having problems with that so your scalp will be fine! Just apply to the shaft of the hair - the middle and particularly the ends because its the oldest part.

The best and easier way to cleanse the hair while add nutrients on the strands… massage thoroughly and treat tea rinses like a water spray.. tea dries up your hair strands though so unlike water spray… don’t spray it on your hair too much… Also also, don’t be afraid to add in new oils in your hair/body butter.
