    Hello, I also have a 2019 Q5 Premium Plus. How do you set up to have a chirping sound when locking and unlocking? Thanks

    Audi cable is ridiculously expensive. Stick w Apple cable.
    CarPlay will read English and even emojis. I assume Spanish too. But it will not read Chinese.
    If you have fans on but AC off, you do not have options to let outside air in, like you do in some Japanese cars. Maybe an Audi thing.
    Pinch-to-zoom is only available when you are searching for something on the map, not when the navigation is already in use.
    All map lights are dimmable if you keep your finger on the light.
    The back seats have minimal recline. Almost doesn’t count.
    Highway mileage is above 30mpg. Pretty good! Daily mixed driving. Is about 24mpg.

      Hi riceboi2004! I agree with some of your comments and not with others. All in all a good take on it! I’m going to go play with those interior lights and report back!!!!

      @@beastieberge I'd like to hear the parts you disagree please. I've had mine (2018 version) since Oct 2017. The above comments are from my personal experience, and most of them are very small and I've learned to live with them. If you find ways to have outside air while AC is off, or ways to pinch-to-zoom while the navigation is working, please do let me know. I'd love to learn new tricks.

      riceboi2004 Thanks for the tip on those interior lights! I did not know that. I disagree about the Audi cables. While they are pricey, when you buy them with the vehicle they come with a 4 year / 50,000 mile warranty. I’d go through a few apple cables in that time frame. Also, if you turn the A/C off and leave the air recirculation off then you are still pulling in outside air just like any other brand of vehicle I’m familiar with. Perhaps you’re referring to turning the entire climate control system off which is, in my opinion, mislabeled as “air conditioning” in the instrument cluster efficiency display.

    • @riceboi2004
      @riceboi2004 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@beastieberge I wasn’t aware that the Audi cable would have the 4yr warranty as well. If that’s true, Audi dealership should make that more obvious so more people are willing to spend $100 on a cord. I do agree that the Apple’s own Lightning Cable breaks down easily, especially when subject to UV. It is $20 if you buy it from Apple, has a 1-yr warranty, and 3-yr overall warranty if paid with a credit card (cards like Visa gives an extra 2-yr extended warranty). So it’s $100/4-yrs from Audi VS $20/3-yrs from Apple. I think it’s arguable which one is a better deal.
      On the AC, yes I agree that the Climate Control System must be on for the outside air to come in. Meaning, the AC (condenser) can be off, but I must have the fan spinning mechanically AND a desired temperature set at least. This still differs from many cars I am familiar with. In many cars, I can have the client control system completely off and still pull the outside air in. This is not a complaint, but rather an interesting approach on AC design by Audi IMO.

    While I believe you and the salesmen that the seats are real leather, after yesterday's test drive of the Q5, me and my wife agreed that the seats felt like sitting on concrete blocks with a little padding on them. My Nissan Frontier pickup truck seats are tons more comfy. We are looking for a comfortable SUV. This one is OUT! Audi gets a FAIL on the seats after so much attention to detail in the interior. It was my favorite until we realized how much our backside hurt after a 10 minute test drive. No way could I take a long trip.

    • @ZimbrickEuropean
      @ZimbrickEuropean  5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Poppie Keep in mind that, unlike cheaper leathers and synthetics, real leather has to break in so you’re feeling them at their hardest when you sit in a new Audi. But yes, I agree, the Audi seat is firmer and more supportive than a Nissan seat. Thanks for watching our video!

      @@ZimbrickEuropean I understand that, so in honor of your statement, I will go try out a Q5 that has maybe 30-40K miles on it and report back. I guess that's enough to get broken in. You might be correct in that I bought a 2006 SLK350 in 2009 with 20K miles on it. I've been driving it over 10 years, and a recent 700 mile trip was not an issue. Let's hope you're right and I'll reconsider.

    Increible que en todo el video no haya una sola toma de la camiometa completa, todas las tomas de camara las hacen a 20cm de distancia y no se aprecia bien, 90% del video se ve el anfitrion en lugar del auto, tampoco menciona las plazas traseras como si no existieran, parte importantisima en un suv familiar de este tipo. Le falta pulirse mucho, desde la edicion hasta el contenido.
