Der Mauerweg- A Bicycle Journey Around Berlin (Recut 2020)

i'll often circle a creative project, arranging footage, music, writing and rewriting, like a cat trying to get comfortable. I'll patter around, not really committing to any major decisions because all my ideas suck, until i realize i'm unable to move forward because either the narrative hasn't emerged, or everything that i'd done up to that point was total shit.
i also realized that my movie was gonna turn out shit as well, and by the way, i am also shit. if i'm lucky, i'll get a moment of clarity, where it clicks and falls into place. often times not.
with this movie, i struggled for a while, before the concept was birthed fully, in one heaving mighty wretch, like a early morning hangover evacuation onto the screen. as a result, there are parts in the original where i cringe at now, and this is my attempt to fix it. i've left the original up too, but basically just for myself.
getting into cliches; perfect is the enemy of done, nothing is ever permanent, kill your darlings, be fast and move on
