My 9yr old Ryobi P238 has had same issue with the release/collet that springs back to the 'locked' position when changing the bits out, so much so that rarely can manage a one handed but swap. It's always done it. When I replace later this year, I'll invariably have bit of a learning curve for sure.

Hi Dave, both tools are awesome, I got my 850 wensday and I’m so impressed with it, it’s excellent for under hood work it gets in tight spots even my 902 can’t get it, and the collet is auto remove the bit just pull out the collet and the bit will unlock then just take it out, very impressive, I absolutely love it, I use my 5ah battery it’s awesome, excellent demonstration Dave ty, Bob,

I'm working on vehicle right now that I could make good use of the additional reach of the Ryobi, the shallowness of the DeWalt. Power wise I'd think either would well suited for the task I'd assign to them individually.

I got the ryobi hp and love it the decent price was great.so many time a bolt wouldnt come out and the ryobi would help me get stuck car bolts and nuts out.no complaints .ryobi works great and isnt super expensive.it also works great repairing decks .the difference is when ur Dewalt or Milwaukee breaks or gets stolen thats a few hundred to replace it

The Ryobi battery has an advantage. The Ryobi is useing five 21700 Samsung 30t 3000mah cells and the dewalt is useing 5 Samsung 21700 40t 4000mah cells. The Samsung 30t 3000mah cells are know to be the most powerful 21700 cells with the highest discharge rate. Any time you test the samesung 30t vs 40t cells weather it’s a flashlight or a motor or a power tool or a vape the Samsung 30t always puts out more power with better results at the expense of run time.

Personally, I think both the new 20v DeWalt offerings are the best dang screw guns you can get for the money. The Atomic is the drywallers delight, and HVAC guys love them for the compact powerhouses they are. The XR is the best deck screw gun I think you can get, coming from a guy who rocks Ryobi stuff.

It didn't his socket got stuck between the two bolts so you never got to see how close they were when he removed the socket. It looks that way because the socket was in the way. Well the socket was so close it got stuck trying to remove it from the bolt heads.

I Have Some Of The older Blue Ryobi Impacts that We Used For Years Putting decking On! They Would Get So Hot That You Had To Wear Gloves! I Have Never Had One To Fail! I Gave Them Away When I Replaced My Tools With The Newer Ryobi Impacts! At The Time I Could Buy Three Ryobi Impacts For What I Would Pay For 1 Dewalt XR! I Have Never Had Much Luck With Milwaukee Lasting! They Are Great THROW AWAY Tools! I Like The Atomic Short Impact But It Is In A Different Class Than The Ryobi 3 Speed With ADAPTIVE Not Automatic Setting! They Make An Atomic That Is Bigger And In The Same Class As That Ryobi! Ryobi Makes A Compact HP Impact But I Found It To Be lacking I Gave It Away! The Main Reason I Use Ryobi Is The Battery Prices! I Have Dozens of Ryobi High Capacity Batteries From 3AH To 6AH So I Will Have To Stay In The Ryobi Eco-System!

I agree the screws appear to be different lengths. Check out time code 1.56 vs 2.56 and look at the top of the screw against the black bag hanging on the wall as a reference point. At 1.56 the screw is below the bag at 2.56 is it in the middle of the bag yet the screw locations are very close together. Might be worth just running that first test again as the time difference is inconsistent with the other tests. Either way, it will eliminate the doubt. Great channel btw.
