The question to Sithara at the end of interview - "Why do you sing?" is an intriguing and thought provoking one- Perhaps, Sithara was struggling to verbalize an quick answer to that soul stirring question..when she has truly realized "I exist because I sing" , she has discovered herself and the essence of her soul! ഇദ്ദേഹത്തെ ആദ്യം കേൾക്കുന്നത് ഒരുപാട് വർഷങ്ങൾക്കു മുൻപ് തൃശൂർ വടക്കൻ നാഥ ക്ഷേത്രത്തിന്റെ പടിഞ്ഞാറെ നടയിൽ നെയ്യാറ്റിൻ കരയുടെ കച്ചേരി നടക്കുമ്പോൾ അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ സൈഡിൽ ഇരുന്നു കൂടെ പാടുന്ന ഒരു യുവാവിന്റെ ശബ്ദത്തിലാണ് .. പിന്നീട് വർഷങ്ങൾക്കു ശേഷമാണ് എന്റെ ഉളളിലേക്ക് ബോബെ ജയശ്രീയും, ഉണ്ണികൃഷ്ണനും, ശങ്കരൻ നമ്പൂതിരിയും കയറിയതുപോലെ ഇദ്ദേഹത്തെയും എനിക്കു പ്രിയപെട്ടതാക്കി, കുറച്ചു വർഷങ്ങൾക്കു മുൻപ് മാരാരിക്കുളം ക്ഷേത്രത്തിൽ കച്ചേരി നടന്നപ്പോൾ ഏറ്റവും മുന്നിലായി പോയിരുന്നു കേട്ടു.. കോവിഡിനു മുൻപാണ് തൃപ്പൂണിത്തുറ ലായം കൂത്തമ്പലത്തിൽ ബുക്ക് ഫെയർ നടക്കുമ്പോൾ ബുക്കുകൾ തെരഞ്ഞു നടക്കുമ്പോൾ കനമുള്ള മൂനാല് ബുക്കുകൾ സെലക്ട് ചെയ്ത് കയ്യിൽ അടുക്കി പിടിച്ചു നടക്കുന്നു എന്റെ തൊട്ടരുകിൽ! : നമ്മൾ ആരാധിക്കുന്ന ഒരാൾ തൊട്ടരികിൽ കാണുമ്പോൾ ഉണ്ടാകുന്ന അനുഭവം വിവരണാധീതമാണ്. ഇദ്ദേഹം ബോഗീന്ദ്ര ശായനം പാടിയത് എത്ര കേട്ടാലും മതിയാകില്ല.. കല്യാണി മേനോൻ പാടിയ ജലശയ്യയിൽ തളിരമ്പിളി എന്ന ഗാനം ദിവസം പാലത വണ ഭ്രാന്തുപിടിച്ചു കേൾക്കുന്ന ഒരു കാലം ... ആ മാജിക്കൽ സംഗീതവും വരികളും ശബ്ദവും ഇന്നും വേറിട്ടു നിൽക്കുന്നു.. നന്ദി, സിത്താര, ശ്രീവൽസൻ ജെയെ ഇവിടെ നൽകിയതിന്, അദ്ദേഹത്തിനും...

Please search through TH-cam. Sreevalsan Sir is an outstanding classical musician, who has also composed n sung some fusion pieces - albeit without deviating from the rigours of classical music. Unlike the average Classical musician who places emphasis on demonstrating his mastery of classical music he focuses on the aesthetic quality, delivering pieces that appeal to the emotions as well. He has composed music for a few films n sung in a couple of films as well.
