Andy when twenty people put out a demo for the same pedal on the same day at the same time I always go to yours because you let us here it right away with no wasted time.
Thanks so much Charlie, I do like to keep it short and sweet! However, you definitely should watch the man himself play this one, really insightful stuff on how it came to be!
A big part of the reason I love Andy's excellent demos is that he looks like he's having a great time making them. How could you not want a piece of great-sounding gear that puts a smile on your face when you play it?
Andy one of the better demos on this pedal. What I like the most about this pedal are the trails. Incredible on how they decay and the tone quality of the trails.😊
Damn! Andy is so good at demoing pedals, that i could buy it even i when i have no business having one. Andy is an amazing guitarist and even better gear demo man! I could watch him for hours and i actually do👍🏾
You are always the consummate gentleman guitarist to whom I go for pedal demos. You have a sense of joy about you and, as I have said numerous times, you are a brilliant, improvisational guitarist. God has blessed your hard work with what I hope is a very well-paid gig. I don’t know, in terms of money, but the pleasure you give the rest of us hacks is enormous. May He continue to bless you, and keep you happy and healthy… and truly loved. I NEED THIS PEDAL! (My wife does not even grimace anymore; she merely smiles … (Perhaps an inward “grimace”)😅. 🫶✌️. 🎸👨🏼⚕️🎸🇬🇧🏴🇺🇸🏴🤷🏼♂️[Roctor]
@@AndyDemos Andy, would you be able to tell me if this does any dual delay patterns other than the dotted 8th note and quarter note gallop? I mean it does sound great but please tell me its capable of doing the heads 1&3 as well as the 8th and dotted 8th settings similar to the Space Echo.
@@artshaw7079 Hey Art, I go through the other rhythms in the video. I don't think the other Bucket Brigade and Tape modes do what you're asking. Heads 1&3 on a Space Echo are more like a 1/4 + 1/8 triplet.
@@AndyDemos much appreciated, I've watched about 4 or 5 demos of the halo by now and the closest I've heard sounds like the heads 2&3 on the space echo. For now I'll probably just hold on to my history lesson v3 until I pick up a Dd200 or an el capistan. Thanks brother
Snagged one anyhow. Apparently the delays in series are more suited to what I wanted to do opposed to parallel delays and more than enough presets than I really need. Thumbs up
I knew deep down that this was the delay pedal that would be my best bet, yet with so many options to choose from I've been on the fence. After watching this demo.... I'm definitely going for it. This thing is awesome. 😎👌
Got one on the way! I'm using a Strymon timeline at the moment but it's actually overkill for what I'm using it for and takes up to much space on my board. This sounds really good.
This pedal has an unusual set of TRS connectors. I looked at the manual and do not see an explanation of the input/outputs. Anyone know where to see them explained?
This pedal is user friendly in the functionality and the User manual is easy to understand. Very fluid. I’m can get the Hank Marvin sound without the need for multiple delays.
I’m trying to understand, so there are 8 factory presets, so can you change any preset completely to something you’d like, or only tweek the factory ones a bit? Also, there’s no video on the tubes that shows how that is done… interested in the pedal but only if you can make a delay setting from scratch, can anyone enlighten me on this? Thanks!
What things can be done that cannot be done with flashback2? I know this is a dual delay, but I'm talking about the types of delays. Also keep in mind that one is not playing a chord or an arpeggio all the time, and letting it sound,,,in real use, these pedals are more discreet. That is why I am asking. The idea of watching so many videos with the Halo, makes me feel, that my Flashback2, is not even half of that, haha
Great video and a very great sounding delay. What I'd like to see from all reviewers is... will you hear the same tones in a mono rig or is it a only stereo beast? I used to use a stereo rig but went back to mono for simplicity.
I'm a bit confused about mono vs stereo for pedals like this. Do you have it plugged in stereo? If so you'd need a matched pair of amps? (which not many people have) Or do you just use it in mono?
Good sounds. But holding down to bottom at the same time. What u going to bend down on the floor they should of made it more easy to operate. Maybe number 2 they might work it out
I have the ECCO's do I need this now too? FYI Keeley wanted me to pay for shipping to have my pedal fixed and that's how it left the factory. So its a no until they fix their customer service policies. Love the ECCOs though! My favorite delay ever! -4 stars for the ECCOs pedals effects. Second only to a real tape delay, in some ways its better. So I'm sure this Halo rocks too -3 stars for customer service (still not that bad) Lastly, who the hell is Andy Timmons? And I not old enough?
I'm glad I'm not that huge into delay. I've been using a TC flashback mini with Andy's EP-3 setting and it's perfect for me. I don't understand why people buy these high end delay pedals, but I guess some people just love delay and have really unique taste for the complexities of it.
Yep same here. I just like one good delay sound. This pedal sounds great but it’s got so many things that I’ll just never use and I’d hate every time I have to read the instructions to figure out what it does 🤷🏽♂️
Some bands write songs that require specifically timed repeats, modulation that needs to come through, repeats that need to be either clear enough or muddy enough. I've had a flashback and it couldn't even come close to the versatility of my DD200
This pedal also does dual delay, which means instead of having two delay pedals, you only need one. The fact it’s built for it is also super practical, so you have tap that keeps the delay synced to each other and can control the relationship between them, which is otherwise quite cumbersome if you have two pedals. Now there are some delays that does dual delay as well, but this one is very compact if you compare it to say a Strymon or Boss DD-500.
@@nicknickson3650 About half of U2's catalog, really. Especially 'Where The Streets Have No Name' comes to mind as a very clear and obvious example. Also, lots of stuff by Andy Timmons, obviously. (;
Damn, the extra spacey Dark Side of The Moon and The Wall kinda sound you would easily get from this pedal. I'm pretty much grew tired with my tweaking and instrumenting journey with pedals. This delay pedal is what I would call "Home" finally and settle down with my PRS Custom 24 for good.
Hey man… next time use the delay practically. Those noises are cool and all but most of us want to use it for normal music. Not that 3 hour acid trips aren’t cool but unless your name is The Bono or Baskin-Robbins Garcia it irrelevant.
Wow! Only £250... Maybe NOW is the time to get a Mooer Ocean Machine. Instead of being ripped off by Keeley, I think all of those settings plus reverb and a looper FOR A LOT LESS ££££ is the sensible option.

Andy, Mike Hermans and The Pedal Zone, are my three gotos, for most demos, but especially, when something gets dropped by so many, on the same day.
Same !
Agreed, Andy is the GOAT of TH-cam Demos. Cheers!
And after watching Andy be sure to check out the JHS show with Robert Keeley and Andy Timmons!

I love the way Andy demo's a pedal. He found his True-calling in life. No-one does it like Andy Martin. Phenomenal-job ( as always ).
Andy Martin is the reason I'm poor...
Love his finger style playing it is really top notch
Andy one of the better demos on this pedal. What I like the most about this pedal are the trails. Incredible on how they decay and the tone quality of the trails.😊
Andys demos are top shelf . Wow so much in this pedal . Geeks applaud now👏👏👏👏
Seems like they packed this thing with a lot of ways to help the repeats shine through. Will definitely be snagging one. Great demo as always my man!
I'm loving the cleanish transients with dirty tails from the Saturate function.

Always a great demo Andy. Thank you
Andy seems like he is legit digging this one. It has a really cool, organic tone to it.
Great Demo, great playing. This guy knows how to interact with a delay.
The best pedal reviewer on TH-cam and also one hell of a fine guitarist! Andy, looking like another Keeley purchase in the immediate future. 🎸🇺🇸

Nice!! Always Appreciate your insight and playing Style.
Nice demo, nice chops too.
Freaking love Keeley!

great pedal without getting too complicated like some of the other delays coming out. I may have to pick one up
Nice playing with the delay! 13:00
Video for stereo delay is in mono?!?
Which outer pedal can I use to change position?
Great video and a very great sounding delay.

Most of this demo was mono then Andy goes to stereo at the end. Sounds great in both.
The smile means it's a really good pedal.

Insane really

Is this pedal capable of doing a Brian May-esque 2 repeat Echoplex type tone? A là "Brighton Rock"
Does this pedal need to be in stereo to get this great hall sound?
Can it do a basic delay?
Is the trails buffer good, and is it analog dry through?
Love your tone here, andy. What amp did you use (or did you go direct)?
YESSSS!!!
