I really didn’t love the original color of your car but now I would buy this car! The benefit of gray and black cars is the fact that they are easy to wrap and not worry about the unwrapped portions. Amazing just amazing how much I love your car now! Bravo!

I agree, the decals really do add a nice touch. The color contrasts beautifully and visually it pulls together the front and rear wheels, and balances well with the dark tinted windows. Good job!

Yay no more ugly grey! A more interesting color makes the car. (Ruthie 'its really blue') The decal really works between the dark wheels. Bringing outside color inside never works, that wheel center strip needs to be dipped in gas and burnt like a white walker. (clock too!) Congratulations, I am sure this new color will bring a renewed love for your baby. - how much more HP does this color add??
Ohhh baby! That's soooo sweet. Love the color. I wasn't sure about the satin from the sample you showed from the last video, but it's brilliant!!! TBH, I'm not a huge fan of whites, blacks and greys. It's stunning!! Had to watch it a couple of times. They did a great job. And so much cheaper than buying another 911. LOL I'll stick with my Guards Red, but when it's time to follow in your footsteps to a 991, shopping for color won't be such a big deal any longer. Future projects? Maybe another aero kit? I've been rewatching your series on your 997. Thinking about doing that to mine. LOL Too bad TechArt doesn't list prices!! ;-) Or maybe a good thing. Great vid as always James. Congrats. I wrapped my 991.1 4s cab two years also in blue. I took the avery light blue and this 99% similiar to riviera blue from porsche. That black Porsche stripe s on the side I have also ;) .
@@AutoAmateur Thank you for the reply. I have really no problems at all with the wrap. After a year or so you will start to think about a another color ;). Sometimes the color is to outstanding for me. The normal color is black an really nobody turned the head for the porsche. With that blue you will get alot of compliments. Where ever you are, you cant hide anymore and kids will give thumbs up. I think I will keep it for another year and then I will move back into stealth mode. Is your key also wrapped? I will send you a some pics tomorrow.
Love the color! If I were you I would ceramic coat the wrap, it will make it easy to clean and make the wrap last longer.ceramic seems hard but it’s pretty easy
When I saw the first piece of the wrap on the hood I thought noooo...then the end result blew me away! Great choice and I love the inside touch with the sport chrono clock. How about 3-D printing some matching blue trim pieces for the 5 piece instrument cluster surrounds, that would look badass (& you could probably sell a bucket load of those too!)

I have a 16' 991 black edition (which I love), it has a fabspeed exhaust (not headers). I wanted to ask your opinion on what is the best way to get more power from my car? I have driven 992s and while I LOVE those turbos, I love the sound of my car, I'm just looking for a bit more power without breaking the bank. Any suggestions? Ooh this colour looks better than I thought it would. Very nice. I'm not sure if I missed it in the video how did you get the steering wheel blue stripe looks pretty good. For me I probably would have put the mirrors black to match the diffuser etc. I'm not sure about the tinted rear lights but itl probably grow on me. Maybe there is some way to make them 3d (gen 2) like changing the lenses or something. Could be a future video. Overall great job by the guys love the decals too. 😉
Thanks Faraz!! The blue stripe on the steering wheel is just a piece of the wrap. Super simple to wrap around and install. It comes off just as easily if I get bored of it.
Congratulations on the new car! Amazing to see the boys react to it. The stripe is killer with the color matched wheels. If you wrap the wing mirrors the same, it’s pretty similar to my Miami blue T.
You should have shown us the first part of the video in black & white watching them work on the panels. That would better surprise us with the stunning blue color all at once!

Hi James. The car looks awesome. What a dramatic change, I love all the detail changes too and see that you changed the Sport Chrono again (BTW: Did you decide to leave off the clock hands?). I have a full Xpel PPF clear wrap on my car with Xpel's Ceramic Fusion coating and can highly recommend that. Xpel also do a spray cleaner and Ceramic Boost quick detailer that suitable or you can use Gtechniq products, which I've also found very good. Enjoy the car!! Best, Mark

Until I'd fumble and drop a tiny hard to replace part somewhere in the depths of the engine bay. Four hours and much cursing later, I'd find it had rolled to the side of the garage!! 🤬 BTW, I emailed info@paragon.ag to see if they would supply some hands for the gauges on my 991 project. No response from them so far but if they do, I'll ask if they could also supply some Sport Chrono hands for your clock. Best, Mark

Great look! Love your videos. Question about the wrap, does the surface of the car , ie. small paint chips etc need to be perfect, or will the wrap cover a little of that up?
Thanks!! The shop should clay bar down the car before the wrap goes on, but just like the paint itself, the wrap will show minor imperfections in the finish due to paint chips. They won't look as distinct as they do without the wrap, but up close you'll still see them - like from 6-8 inches away.
Ah man. I'll be honest. I wasn't sure about that colour when you first told us what you chose. Also, I'm not normally a fan of decals and strips. However, your car looks awesome now! Crazy good. The colour works and that Porsche stripe along the side really finished it off. Also, interesting how dark the windows and rear lights look. Looks great man 👌👌

From the look of their shop day to day I would say they have been working on half a dozen different cars and trucks in parallel across the team (one snow mobile and one race car too!)

I'm very impressed. Did you get a ceramic coating on your wrap? Also, I'm very impressed you had the wing mirrors and the door handles done. It' s a lot of work to take the door cards off. I paid 3,000 for my wrap but the wing mirrors and door handles were not done. Since my car was black, it gave it more of a 2 tone look since my wheels are factory black as well. I didn't get the decals done. It looks good. I removed the front license plate and it makes the car. The front plate ruins the front.
Hey James! Looks great. I knew it was going to be Blue of some sort. Two questions. 1. Why the door card removal.? 2. Were you at all a little apprehensive about non-Porsche specific techs taking apart and reassembling your car? I occasionally have to take my car to a “European Car” shop that specializes in BMW, AUDI, etc. They rarely work on Porsche’s, their words. That’s the reasoning for question 2. Take good care my friend.
Hey Gary! 1) Do you mean the inner door panels? It was so they could get to the handles and wing mirrors to take them off. 2) I would usually be a little worried about non-Porsche techs working on my car if I didn’t know the shop. In this case, I know what a great job they did of my friend Mario’s 991. In other cases like Eurocharged MPLS I know lots of Porsche owners who are very happy with their work. Cheers!

Now you need to add contrasting brake calipers and seat belts. Personally, I'd go Speed Yellow for both.

Ah man. I'll be honest. I wasn't sure about that colour when you first told us what you chose. Also, I'm not normally a fan of decals and strips. However, your car looks awesome now! Crazy good. The colour works and that Porsche stripe along the side really finished it off. Also, interesting how dark the windows and rear lights look.

From the look of their shop day to day I would say they have been working on half a dozen different cars and trucks in parallel across the team (one snow mobile and one race car too!)

I'm very impressed. Did you get a ceramic coating on your wrap? Also, I'm very impressed you had the wing mirrors and the door handles done. It' s a lot of work to take the door cards off. I paid 3,000 for my wrap but the wing mirrors and door handles were not done. Since my car was black, it gave it more of a 2 tone look since my wheels are factory black as well. I didn't get the decals done. It looks good. I removed the front license plate and it makes the car. The front plate ruins the front.

Hey James! Looks great. I knew it was going to be Blue of some sort. Two questions. 1. Why the door card removal.? 2. Were you at all a little apprehensive about non-Porsche specific techs taking apart and reassembling your car? I occasionally have to take my car to a “European Car” shop that specializes in BMW, AUDI, etc. They rarely work on Porsche’s, their words. That’s the reasoning for question 2. Take good care my friend.
Hey Gary! 1) Do you mean the inner door panels? It was so they could get to the handles and wing mirrors to take them off. 2) I would usually be a little worried about non-Porsche techs working on my car if I didn’t know the shop. In this case, I know what a great job they did of my friend Mario’s 991. In other cases like Eurocharged MPLS I know lots of Porsche owners who are very happy with their work. Cheers!

Right! And thanks. These are the 3” decals. If you look at some of my 997 videos, the decals there were the 3.5”.
