I purchased the air pods - a year later I’ve had no success with them. Time to try the plastic bags I think. You’re right about the moss drying out inside the pods & having to keep it watered.

I have a second video showing what happened. After 7 weeks I didn't see any roots on either the plastic-wrapped or airpod branches, but I did have lots of little white bumps that are the beginning of roots (I was too impatient to wait any longer). I potted the white-spotted branches and did see success with both of them rooting. They did will for a few months and continued forming new buds, but the temperature rose and I watered irregularly so they didn't thrive, but I feel like they would have done well if I'd been more diligent. I will be trying again after our weather cools and I'll just use the plastic wrap because that seems to hold the moisture better.

Sorry for the late response. No I have not tried this in the winter. I live in southern California. I rarely reach freezing temperature where I live. You should try it using heating mat.

@@masterofnone7243 thanks for the link but my tree is a little too far for that I have a dog on a invisible fence and he probably fry himself.

Great idea on the bagging! While I too purchased the air pods, I am more excited about the bags. Could you return with results? I am headed out to air pod my Nellie Stevens Hollies. Full sun? Partial? Or shade? I have no idea which to choose. But want them easy to visually inspect. Thanks for the bag idea! Going to also try water bottles and easter eggs. : )
