Yeah!!! There was a Long Nice Trailer full of horses at the service station this morning. I walked over and said I want the grey! The guy said you can have all of them for $5.00. Well, I can afford that. I wish I'd said, "Tell you what. I'll give you $10 if you throw in the trailer too"! It was a very nice trailer. It had ay least 8 slanted stalls. Just wasn't thinking straight I guess. Lol
A horse woman for sure! Looking forward to the updates on Jimmity Cricket. Everything I see Esmerelda I am amazed at her growth and animated movements!
I swear Mushu is Lumiere's emotional support horse 😂 It's just really sweet watching Lumi have big feelings about a new horse and then seeing Mushu come over to him. It looks like Lumi settles down a bit when his smaller buddy is next to him and Mushu just wants everyone to get along 😂 The social dynamics in the herd are really interesting!
Integrating new horses is weirdly similar to integrating cats 😂 with less growling of course 🤣🤣🤣 But seriously, a lot of it is giving them time to start to get more curious than defensive, and there's often a bit of growling or fighting that just establishes who's who. It's totally normal and they generally sort it out themselves, and it helps if they have space to get away from each other until they've decided to be friends. The hierarchy is a lot less rigid, less about overall dominance, but the similarities really struck me 😂 I have a lot of experience with cats 😁
Prince Naveen is a spectacular horse. His carriage is so regal. Lumiere has his eye on the new guy. Jiminey surprised me, I didn’t figure he would be the one to inject drama.
LOL, Jiminey was like, "BOY! >:[. You pay your respects to your elders!" and then he was over it xD. Meanwhile Arlo was just like, "Sup, fam? We cool? Cool.". They all crack me up

Always looking forward to the integration of the new horses to FSE. There is plenty to observe and learn. Prince is a young horse, so I don’t foresee any unnatural aggression, nor unusual horse behavior all will go well with the intro to the large herd. Shae knows what she is doing! 💗🐎💗🐎💗

Hello, Shae, It's me SarahB in MD. I missed the froufrou with Jiminy and the new kid. All i saw was the dust settling. It's been a rough few wks for me, but watching horsies do their thing helps. I can just close my eyes and imagine feeling those soft muzzles when handing out treats, giving ear rubs, grooming just to see him or her sneak out to roll in the dirt, pffft!! I'm melancholy for a lady whose mare foaled last wk. It was not a good outcome. Maybe some of ur followers would consider saying a prayer or wish good thots for her and her horse. I' m glad things r going well for u, Kyle, and ur herd. I almost thot that was Belle, but it was Ezzy at the fence. She and Ariel r just growing so fast. I love they all intergraded well and I love how Lumi went to check on Jimney after the little kicking episode, so sweet. Lumi is the King of the pasture and looks after the rest of the herd! They all are so fabulous!!! ❤️❤️❤️
I think Naveen thinks he’s a person…or a puppy lol. He looks so excited every time you come up to the fence. So eager for attention and affection. I love him!
Naveen realized he was outmuscled when Lumi began his walk of testosterone so they chilled in agreement. But when i saw that Appaloosa stern swing starboard, i knew a close kick was coming, just to show any horse who thought his leg was still injured. Naveen was surprised but it seems all is now well. Its tough being the new kid sometimes. Well done Free Spirit.
Kyle does a lot of work and I totally get that he doesn’t really want o be a trainer. He helps you when you need things done that require his help, but you have such skill at training that it makes total sense for you to train!
Yes! Another addition to the side-plot squad. I live for the little snippets or Arlo, Zazu and Gaston when we get them and I have a feeling Naveens gonna be right there with popcorn and the boys
That was a smooth introduction to the herd for Prince Naveen. I'm glad he and Arlo really connected as best buds. Jiminy caused more drama than Lumiere!! I was really expecting it from Lumie, and then Jiminy comes in with the back kick. They all settled down and are getting along great now. All of the horses look healthy and happy.
This integration went very well. Lumi surprised me with pretty chill behavior. Jiminy was the real surprise but that was just a moment. So glad to see Jiminy looking way better than the dehydration episode. Relief. The horses are all so beautiful, well cared for, and happy. Naveen should be more comfortable now with his friends (herd). Another great job. Linda

I don’t imagine you go out and work on cars everyday with hubby but you probably know Which ones you think are pretty and have a smooth ride and enjoy a ride in them now and then. Same thing. You both have your ‘own thing’ but respect each others passion and overlap on them just enough.

That was such a good integration! By the time Naveen was in there Lumi was just like "meh i've seen that guy before", but then here came Jiminy with the steel chair 😭😭 super glad everything went well though in the end!
The Prince is settling in, Ezzie looks more like her mom now seeing some dapples. You would never know Bagheera is her age, you take such wonderful care of her and she is a great horse. Ariel is coming along cant wait until she begins training. Beauty has been a wonderful surprise. Glad Jiminy is doing OK.
Can’t get over how white/gray Ariel has gotten. When the babies are butt shots I really have to look twice to identify them. All of your herd is beautiful!
Ouch Jiminey! Lumi really loves you following you and he listened to you and was a good boy. Naveen looked so innocent and a little worried at times but it all worked out well. 👍👍👍
PRINCE NAVEEN HAS SUCH AN ELEGANTE POSTURE AND HE IS SOOOOOOO HANDSOME. I was so surprise to see Jiminy kicking Naveen as i was expecting Lumiere to do so not jiminy. Hew is full of surprises !!!!
I hope some people do not get upset about the horses fussing and kicking at each other. When we first started adopting and fostering horses, the place we got the horses from, and our vet and farrier always told us to just let the horses work it out. That it looks worse than it is. Of course, they were separated to begin with, but eventually were put together in the big pasture. Thanks for allowing the horses to be horses and work out their own hierarchy.
My personal favorite of your herd is Arlo. He's has beautiful confirmation and coloring, and he is so incredibly chill. Love watching him roll in the dirt every time :)

That went really well! Maybe Naveen had been ,so used to being with other horses, so he wasn't putting out defensive and anxious vibes, which made things more chill. They did have time to get used to each other with fences between them, so that must've helped too. Naveen is so interesting looking. They're all beautiful, really. All the horses want to be near you. Says everything. I think Naveen may be more dominant when he matures. Your last two horse purchases have been lovely horses. Beauty and Naveen have been extraordinary!

When we first started adopting and fostering horses, the place we got the horses from, and our vet and farrier always told us to just let the horses work it out. That it looks worse than it is. Of course, they were separated to begin with, but eventually were put together in the big pasture. Thanks for allowing the horses to be horses and work out their own hierarchy.

My personal favorite of your herd is Arlo. He's has beautiful confirmation and coloring, and he is so incredibly chill. Love watching him roll in the dirt every time :)

That went really well! Maybe Naveen had been ,so used to being with other horses, so he wasn't putting out defensive and anxious vibes, which made things more chill.
They did have time to get used to each other with fences between them, so that must've helped too. Naveen is so interesting looking. They're all beautiful, really.

that went well. noticed that Jiminey wasn't in the herd the next day or so. did he continue to have issues with Naveen? You are so loving to your horses. No wonder they perform so well for you.
I noticed that too, but I don't think it's cause he had issues. I'm thinking maybe cause he was feeling low at the show so she had him temporarily separated to recover? Not sure though
