Hi Mick, This is the first time I watched your channel. A brilliant well explained trouble shooting episode . I have two of Makita 6100 disc cutters not working at my work place. After seeing your video I feel I have the confidence to tackle the problem. Cheers buddy.
Hi Mick ,I just stumbled onto this vid, I watched and read most comments.i had a husqvarna that gave me a good run around in the settings department...until you have a disc and put the saw under load it won't be right , chainsaws may be your background.theres a rev limited coil on these can be misleading...far more than chainsaw...I ended up at 1/4 turn out on H and set L to cover throttle response and idle last..so best of luck hope it comes good,
Hi bud thanks for watching I understand what you are saying fully I believe the biggest problem was having no filters and sucking too much air in to get a good reading off the carb.. I have now put a disc on it and runs no difference even with adjustment to the carburetor. It's still running sweet. It's also may of had a hard life so could be worn and tired. Thanks for the comment bud and hope u stick around
I have the same LED light. I love it as it is lightweight and bright. I was going to say do you need a blade, which you mentioned. You are a good father sir.
i new you would get it going mick your perseverance and self taught skill i noticed its a tilson carb ? on many machines i think its terrible the price for name part like makita etc when same carb is used on others grand job m8 and you got get it right with company director there
Morning mick and Ryle me my boy loving the videos... If you haven't already purchased the plastic part for the recoil I've got a few here, send me a address and I'll post 1 out today. Cheers john
Hi john yeah cool I have not as of yet ordered one. Can you email me as I don’t want to put my address on here micksmowers01@gmail.com Thanks for the comment and support
Another great fix.....am getting a drill and impact after we get bk from hols torn between dewalt and Makita what's you're opinion and do I need to get brushless drill am after a 20vlt drill which is the best mick all the best buddy you fly soon have an absolute fantastic time all of you 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👌👌👌👌🍦🍦🍦☀️☀️☀️☀️
steve barker hi mate I have the 18w dewalt and it’s brushless it’s fantastic for what I use. I would say it all depends what you want it for mate. Yeah we are off soon and can. It wait
Mick a bit off topic but Roy showed some Bowden crimps you told him about. Can’t find them anywhere do you have a link or something where to get them from please?
I never knew you had to clip the diaphram under that thing on the needle valve, best go and check my strimmer as I replaced the gaskets but still running crap :)
Yes the primer bulb is fine I did the test on a flat surface and it stayed down :) I will check the lines although it is pulling fuel through, you are right what you say about 2 strokes finicky bloody things lol
just a quicky i pissed about with one for a long time they are prone for piston ring snap they have 2 piston rings on them and one of the rings was cracked i have done a few now the main issue is they run from cold but wont start again once warm so just thought i would mention this as i have scratched my head a few times but this cures it i hope it will help you and a few other people
Hi Mick, over the past couple of weeks ive been rebuilding a dpc6410.. its become rather an obsession.. i must get it to run!! i followed your carb rebuild to the letter using the same kit but now when i pressurise the fuel system i get fuel dripping from the plate on the bottom of the carb and pooling around the fuel hose area .. its almost like the new gaskets arent even there! i removed and checked everything and the 4 screws are done up as tight as they will go .. have you ever come across this issue? thanks Chris
Ok I worked out what my issue was - the 'kit' contains two gaskets for the pump side of the carb when only one is required - I did wonder why there were two supplied as they looked identical but due to Murphy's law I had managed to fit the wrong one! the only difference between them being a single extra hole in the one I fitted - which was allowing fuel to pass through to the breather holes and drip out the bottom. This is on a Walbro WJ105A.
good job on the saw and an even greater job at being a dad,,hope he's grown to appreciate the fact, when he looks back on this video,,😁😁👍👍
You’re son is so cute ! Hey Mick thanks for sharing this information I totally appreciate you !
Hi thanks for the lovely comment about my son and for supporting me and my channel

Lol get it taken apart mate lol
Some do, others just touch ,so if is running trouble free leave it alone...
It starts but you can't rev it, just dies, il have to stick it back in the sonic bath maybe I didn't give it long enough in the first place :)
@@paulbaker2959 could be are the fuel lines and primer ok ?

good vid, it may have been my speakers but the top end revs seem to be either restricted or governed down given that the discs very fast.
It needs the top end revs doing. The disc is rated up to 1500rpm and the saw is only up to 1400 so it is fine. Thanks for the comment
cool video.. lets stay conected
