    Try this with Lynx Touch! It feels amazing and string offers great tension maintenance. It’s become my favorite string. Good review on this stick. I switched to it since May and absolutely love it. If I start missing touch, I can go back to my prestige or gravity but what I gain for overall performance from this is too good,

    Thanks for your review as always you're my favourite reviewer in this field!. Looking forward to seeing the Vcore pro.. 310 and D.. is looking like there is a noticeable improvement in that line.

    Yes, but WHEN will Head put auxetic material in the Extreme Tour is the question.

    You said you would go into the serve later, but never did ;-). Thank you for the very elaborate and nuanced review. I think this racket is hyped too much. It might be nice, but it is nothing earth shattering. That is something I have with all the head lines. Generally they give less power on serve compared to the normal strokes, while other brands the difference is lower (yonex, wilson). Dunlop is a little bit similar with that as well.

      Hi, yes sorry about that I put some text up noting it, I only realised in edit (nightmare! Lol) ,that I didn’t elaborate on serve. Strange with the pro - good directional control but I struggled to generate power with it. The m p was great on serve. Can’t really explain it either, it has some mass, fairly fast through the air too, must be where I connect maybe but noticeable I was getting less pace and spin on my serve with it.

      The Prestige is the only Head racquet I don't feel this with. Part of it is wind resistance I think, but also balance. Angell racquets are known for being the best serving racquets, have a lot of mass all around the head & taper toward tip.
      All the Head racquets are polarized, which is why they feel so good when crushing groundstrokes. But I think lack of mass at 4&8 or 5&7 makes them add less on serve (where swingweight is somewhat negated, reducing benefit of polarization).
      YMMV, but when I really blast a flat serve, it feels like the "extra" power comes from the bridge. Babolat is known for weighting in throat and not polarizing, also known for serving frames. Don't think it's coincidence.

      Great observation on the polarization, any ideas on how you might add lead tape to the Boom Pro to make it serve better?

      @LarzB 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@TheJstaples generally the heavier rackets (static weight) are less polarized. Head rackets aren't soo polarized. The most polarized generally are babolat rackets and the least polarized are Yonex rackets. Wilson and head are kinda similar in the polarisation area.
      The beam width of head is most of the time thinner which absorbs energy and especially on the server you want all energy return into the ball. Stiffer and thicker beams give more power return into the ball and absorb less energy

      @@LarzB awesome, thanks for breakdown on the different bramds. Like the reviewer i really like the Boom Pro for groundstrokes but find it a bit lacking on serve. Due to its unconventional head shape i'm womdering how i might add lead to get it to serve better, more like my yomex

    nice review, thanks. personally, for many years I've the impression that most Head racquets are underpowered, when I swing so that my shoulder jumps out of its socket then its nice, but who does that all the time. and I do hit hard, but still find they need more power. when I add lead then they are too slow to move, so it's a different but same kind of problem.. and oh Ezone 98 next pls, with some lead at 3&9..

    I agree, it didn't feel as crisp of a response on this vs the pure strike, but I couldn't get that easy spin that I could from the strike. It compares to head radical pro quite well, but for some reason, I get much more control out of the radical pro.

    Hi! How would you compare the Boom PRO with the Speed MP? I tried a Head Speed MP with a little bit (idk how much) of lead type at 10-2 and I had no problem managing the weight so now I'm not sure whether to buy the Head Speed MP or Head Boom PRO (which is less demanding than Head Speed PRO). I would say I'm a between 3.5 and 4 NTRP (looking to improve), good baseliner but I need to get better at the serve and at the volleys. Is there that much difference in terms of manoeuvrability and power between Boom PRO and Speed MP? Which one would you think would suit me best? Thank you!

      Hi, they are excellent. Very cushioned around the ankle and heel, light. I have quite wide feet so went a size up ( I also double up on socks) and that was right to do. So far so good - durability looking good.

    Which one will you take into a tournament with Extreme Tour or the Boom Pro? In your opinion can you let me know which one you are more confident with flatter shots?

      Hi, Extreme tour hands down. Although I customise mine with a leather grip and 4 grams of lead across 3 and 9.

    One of Heads lesser offerings, their other racquet line ups are top of the game but this just seems to be not at the same level and a tad underwhelming. They should just stick at what they are good at doing and not try and imitate competitors like Yonex with that head shape.
