We are so lucky that writers and actors can transport us to a different world, where we become immersed in a story. I love this show because thats what it did. And as much as we wish Norma didn't die, it a show based on exactly that. its kinda like watching Titanic and hoping the ship doesn't sink, but the reality is... it does sink. The ending got to me too .. Norma and Alex love story was so nicely built over the course of the whole show .. i like that it seemed realistic, not like other shows where the guy saves her life once or is stalking her and all of a sudden theyre a couple after a season or 2 telling each other theyre in love...just whenever Norma needed someone, Alex always helped her out without asking anything in return .. reminded me of someone i lost.. but i knew it would have to happen eventually. I have a feeling next season will only get sadder, since eventually Norman has to end up alone...we know Alex has to die... and i dont think Dylan and Emma are home free... its guna be a tragic slaughterfest. Hope to see your reactions next season!
Man, what a morbid finale (in the best way possible). This season of Bates has been the best one so far simply because it dropped the secondary subplots of White Pine Bay and its drug business. It focused on Norman and Norma, the heart(s) of the show. One thing that struck me most about this season was how emotional it was. I found myself getting ready eyed almost every other episode. Whether it be from something going on with Norman, Norma, Dylan and Emma. A side note, Freddie Highmore owns this role now. He was "good" in the first 3 seasons but this season he became Norman Bates. What a display of emotions from him this season that he handled effortlessly. So I hear Marion Crane is going to be introduced in the last season, exciting!
So mad and sad, even though she drove me nuts. Wish I didn't have to watch this alone. So frustrating. Fucking Norman, he's been really pissing me off this last season and a half or so...
Honestly the girl in this reaction video is quite immature... She looks like one of those Bates Motel fans who thought this would have a happy ending. I think the writers have focused WAY too much on Norma, now a lot of annoying fans are screaming scandal because she's dead. What the hell did you guys thought this show was about??
+Enrique Sanchez I never thought it would have a happy ending. I know what it's about. I just thought she would make it to Season Five because Norma as a character is such a strong presence of the show. I wasn't sure if they were going to end on her death or fully show his transition and introduce Marion. I would have liked her to make it a little further because Vera has such a strong chemistry with every single person on the show not just with Freddie Highmore. But I guess now we will just see her in scenes with Norman which are amazing in their own right. I'm sorry you feel that I'm immature but I honestly just really liked her character a lot even though I was completely aware that she would eventually die.

Uh... People can like this show for whatever reason they want. Someone isn't a fan of the show because they like it for reasons different than yours? That's more immature than anything. And I think you're getting confused, just because someone is a fan of bates motel, doesn't mean they are a fan of Psycho.
