Not just in UPSC, but one should have a plan B in every aspect of life if possible. Not because you've low confidence or a fear of failure, but for that peace of mind that if one thing doesn't works out for me, I'll have another trump card in my deck to surprise life with a big 'BOOOOO'. It's called being practical and being the master of your own life instead of leaving it in the hands of fate.
Let's put it in a scenario.... Suppose somebody is of 26/27 years of age, is from Mechanical Engineering Background. He's starting from Feb 2023 (preparation of various exams). He worked for a job for 2 years and didn't have much financial crisis. In short is ready to give 3-4 years to prepration. So how can he prepare for following exams 1) UPSC ESE (engineering services exam) 2) Banking exams 3) GATE 4) State level AE/JE 5) IRMS Thank you in advance.
Sir u are 100%right recently i have pass my 12 from commerce i was also thinking of doing eco .hon due to upsc but after listening u i am sure of doing bca now according to my interest....😊😊

I think there is no need to prepare for both as both are civil services exam You should go for either of them and secondly you should choose optional according to your own interest as no one knows you better than yourself 👍

You can prepare but I would say at least give 1-2 full UPSC attempts

You should go for either of them and secondly you should choose optional according to your own interest as no one knows you better than yourself 👍

MBA toh sath me bhi krskte ho. Backup aapko apne strength ke hisab se choose krna hai.

Sir I have completed B.Ed in 2022 .There are many requirements of teaching job but I don't want to recruit in job bcoz I'm a beginner who have zero knowledge about upsc. Mera plan B se koi matlab nhi sir . Mujhe sirf ai Doubt ya Questions ka Solution janna cha raha hu ki. Kia mai UPSC preperation korne k saath saath SSC Ko secondary ( alredy mai kor raha )option k tor por leke preparation korna Sahi rahega ya nhi.
Mera Target UPSC hai lekin Financial Background Utna thik nhi hai isi ko dek maii 3-4 bar Ssc Exam attempted dia Mts2023,chsl2022, CGL22, Dia jaha Maine paya English or Maths mai weak hu . Next 3/8 ko chsl 23 ka Exam hai.. Abhi confusion🤧 ho Raha hai ki us Exam skip korke Direct UPSC mai Focus koru ya Ssc exam dena jari rakhu (**mai Humanities academy Background student hu. ) Ummid korta hu ap mujhe is Problem/ Confusion ko solve korne mai help korenge 🙏🙏

Join MNC, don't take risk. UPSC has gone crazy anyway. Don't listen to people who motivates you to do upsc coz it is too unpredictable. Take the job and study side by side
