I reached to my saturation level just in 3-4 months after starting my prerp... I left my gym, social media and cut off with my all frndz... But later I realized UPSC is not one day thing, it's a process and we should not impose it on ourself rather we should enjoy the process and try to balance all the things together.

From my personal experience, I would say upsc is just the beginning of the journey. And not the end in itself.. you may get selected but there are high chance that you may not. You have to be practical, hope for the best and be prepared for the worst. If you are not already from that background the best thing would be that when you will end this preparation you would be a completely different person.. just like the hisenberg from breaking bad..

Reading between the lines means figure out like for example indus valley you are reading then just dont read and finish it understand the hidden thing like figure out its special characteristics . What was special about the cities. I read topic wise for example if I'm reading fundamental rights I read it first from ncert make my concept clear then I go to the standard books. It helps me to complete topic earlier + basic clear and recall karna easy ho jata

Thanku sir for sharing ur experience I m in 10 now and I have dream of ias from childhood. In childhood I usually say I will become ias or ips without knowing meaning of it. But when I get to know what is ias, upsc , I say to myself everyday ki exam to upsc hi dena hai or ias hi bnana hai. When I think of other streams, mujhe lgta hai ki mai kisi or ke baare soch bhi nhi sakti. Only and only UPSC.

I m in 10 now and I have dream of ias from childhood.
In childhood I usually say I will become ias or ips without knowing meaning of it.
But when I get to know what is ias, upsc , I say to myself everyday ki exam to upsc hi dena hai or ias hi bnana hai.
When I think of other streams, mujhe lgta hai ki mai kisi or ke baare soch bhi nhi sakti. Only and only UPSC.

I think I have wasted half my days on reading 6 to 10 😁
