Wrong number. The interviewer has two laughs, haHAha-ha and yaHAHAHAHAha-ha. Counting the number of A's in a laugh, the 7A laugh sounds like a sample being inserted under the title "laugh prompt", while the 4A laugh might actually be spontaneous. 4 parts spontaneity in 11 parts total, seems like an early series Automated Interviewer... ;)
How annoying must it be to become rich and famous and now every casual statement you make in response to a question is either super intriguing or utterly hilarious.
He wouldn't be able to answer a lot of their questions for two reasons: 1) he can't remember many things as there's a lot of detail in such an intricate series 2) he's creating stuff as he's going along. When the series is completed is when it will be time for a real interview.
Nah. She'd be a type of character, George would toss around, torturing in every possible way. Getting killed in a creepy, magic-envolved way could also be a possibility.
Nah, that's not George's style. He'd have a hated character do even more horrendous things for several books more to the point that their death becomes just as satisfying as sex itself.
I met Robert Jordan, author of the Wheel of Time series, at a book signing for the second novel in Toronto in the early 1990s. I asked him how many books it would be and he said, "Oh, right now about 4 or 5...but maybe more." Well, he was right on that account. I think it ended up being 14 novels plus some extra works in the same world. Sadly, he passed away in 2007 before he could finish, but other writers took up the task and did him proud. Let's hope George doesn't go the same way before he can finish, because I heard he has no plans for anyone to finish the series if he passes away. Then we will never know if Jon really kills Dany, Arya rejects Gendry, and Bran becomes king.
I'm planning to read the WoT books. I'm halfway through the eye of the world. so far its been great. It's the first fantasy book I've ever read, and the first book I've read outside high school reads, and its kind of scary knowing i have 13 more books to read and even then the story hasn't finished.
It actually makes sense... If you believe, have faith he can do this. I have faith in these 7 books that tell one story. The true faith of the seven. The seven books that are the song of ice and fire.
G.R.R. Martin was taken by a strange mood! G.R.R. Martin has claimed a typewriter. G.R.R. Martin has created A Song of Ice and Fire, a paper manuscript. This is a paper manuscript. Written on the item is a novel entitled A Song of Ice and Fire, authored by G.R.R. Martin. It concerns the continent Westeros. The writing is reasonably serious and it is forceful. Overall the prose is masterfully written.
I feel like, in keeping with the theme of the faith of the seven he should’ve written seven books in the main series and three books about the Targaryen dynasty because “the dragon must have three heads”. George doesn’t like to limit himself with deadlines and numbers but it’s honestly good to do that sometimes especially with a thematic purpose and giving yourself plenty to work with.
That one of the most elaborate, complex, nuanced, shocking, thrilling, emotional, epic fantasy sagas that will go down in history as one of the biggest, most influential works of fiction, alongside the likes of Star Wars and LOTR, all began with a simple scene of a father and his sons happening upon a litter of wolf pups is mind-blowing and kind of beautiful. Honestly makes that scene so much more fascinating now.
I got the first one zipped out in no time. So let's see. I got the first one done and published in 1996, at one a year the sixth book will be on the shelves in 2001. Give ourselves an extra year for each book, JUST to be safe and we'll have the whole series done easily by 2006. Perfect! My master plan is flawless.
Well, one could technically say the 5 books that are out are actually 7, since A Storm of Swords and a A Dance with Dragons are 2 parts. So, definitely more than 7 books. Anyway, George already shared how the series will end with a writer he trusts is able to finish it properly in the event that he dies before finishing it himself. So, we know the story/series will have an end. Hopefully George has many years still ahead of him, to enjoy life and complete the work himself.
1:27 for fakest fake laugh in the entire segment 3:46 for the funniest one. She's about to cackle again, then stops half way when she realizes he said nothing funny.
Warning this contains spoilers from book 1: Well the discovery of the pups was a very symbolic moment of foreshadowing in many ways. The parent direwolf was killed by a stag symbolising the downfall of the Stark family at the hands of the Baratheon's (Ned accepting the job as Hand of the King) - and literally on the orders of Joffrey Baratheon. It's beautiful writing. So many meanings in just one moment.
I suspect that scene plus the rangers being butchered by the white walkers holds the secret. Somehow, Jon is not that important and the white walkers will be stopped by something still unexpected.
I guess he’s waiting for the show to finish so he can separate his story further. I’m hoping he has taken this time to work on ADOS as well so both come out relatively close together.
it's beautiful isn't it he also follows tarentino in his writing style about not knowing fully the end, or outlines... and just writing chapter to chapter
@@Influx27I think at this point winds is probably gonna end up being split into 2 feast for crows size books released simultaneously, probably titled what you said, but George is probably gonna say they only count as one book so it'll still be 7 total. I'm expecting them to literally release in a 2 volume box set together sometime around the end of the decade. He's said countless times that it won't be a feast dance style split where one releases and he promises the next one the following year.
But what if GRRM actually gets to the end of Dream of Spring and the story still isn't done? Isbthere gonna be an Eigth or ninth or twelfth novel? Many more World of Ice and Fire side projects? This story really could go on forever. If not for A Feast for Crows, George's third plan to write six books would have been accomplished already. But ya gotta do what ya gotta do.
