Thank you for the video Nathan. Great to see Andy's Caddy getting some more attention and good to see Andy in the video too. Amazing what has been achieved with zero budget. Looking forward to the engine swap on the silver Caddy. It will go like an absolute rocket once it's done.
Great stuff DT. Andys Zero Budget is looking very smart. It might be low on the £'s but it's up on the time and effort that you've put into it, but you put the effort into all of your projects, effort in = results out
Hey Paul it’s all I’ve ever done play with motors and vw’s are pleasant to work on so once I have all the tools to hand I can rip through most jobs. Fridays video is done I hope you guys enjoy it 👍
Massive Respect..... do love the zero budget great mates rates . I used to do basic maintenance on my cars but these days I find the money to get the Vag (skoda, it's still a good motor ha ha) sorted. Great content Nathan.
Great video. I did my first clutch on my 1.9 TDI caddy this year and managed to bend the metal gasket between the engine and gearbox when putting it back together, so when the engine got up to temperature it started rubbing. I had to take it apart and do it again, which was a massive pain. Lesson learned!
good video, but i have been checking for days expecting the maxi engine swap, can i wait another 4 days? guess ill have to.........still, love the zero budget vids, Andy must be well pleased....
love your channel 😃 you make the jobs look easy no matter how hard it is 💪 , would like you to do an ASZ swap in my T5 🙏 you could do it on your channel an i would pay you 😁
Quality ending Sir !. Andy seems like a top bloke to spend time with. How is the year of DTE TV unfolding ? Thanks for all the time you put into your films Ed.
Hey Ed thank you mate and yes Andy’s a good egg, DTE TV has been doing well this year and I still really enjoy it and that’s thanks to you guys commenting and supporting. Here’s to 2025 👌 ah ye 👍
Great video and good job 👍 I have a mk 4 caddy and sometimes when I pull away I get the sound of chair legs scraping on the floor from the cluch been like it for 6 months not getting any worse can't afford to put it in the garage at the moment. Any ideas or just keep going until it breaks?
Class video as always mate. Question for you, i know single mass conversions arent recommended but what is the real world outcome of doing it? Do gearboxes really blow up as a result? Do engines rattle themselves to pieces? Makes me wonder how they did without them in the past when DMFs werent common...
brings back painful memories of lifting off my passat gearbox on my own, didn't loose a finger but broke one when i trapped it between the box and the axle stand 😪
Still not done my t5 clutch/flywheel, maybe next year.. i can't find any videos of vw t5.1 2.0 glow plug replacements. If one of those come in, you'll be the only video on youtube by the looks of it.
Hi i have a strage on my a4 3.0 tdi Thing on cold it doesnt sound bad but when car grt hot i hear a internitent rattle e the car shake little on iddle in neutral, also. When i gently press the clutch e release a i hear the vibration louder can be DMF? Thanks

Finger isn't missing mate, that's how the Sachs kit comes OEM ! Great video though love it !
Used to love working on the older Vauxhall's. Clutch replacement was so easy. Inspection cover underneath. Didn't even need to remove the gearbox.
Was just about to say the same, how good was they to change
We used to have races ar college changing them. Great days.
I’ve never seen one of those, have heard about them thow 👍
Great video Nathan and always good to see Andy lend you a hand. really looking forward to the engine swap, roll on Friday. Cheers.

Top vdub mechanic you!! 20/20 vision shot was hilarious 🤣 Ah Ye! 🤙🏻
Haha I did use that shot on the second channel to but re used it on here 👍
Great video. I did my first clutch on my 1.9 TDI caddy this year and managed to bend the metal gasket between the engine and gearbox when putting it back together, so when the engine got up to temperature it started rubbing. I had to take it apart and do it again, which was a massive pain. Lesson learned!
Ah man I’ve done the same, a mistake you won’t make twice 👍

Andy seems like a top bloke to spend time with.
How is the year of DTE TV unfolding ?
Thanks for all the time you put into your films Ed.
Thank you mate, I appreciate that and Nathan is a great guy to work with and be friends with as well.😊
Hey Ed thank you mate and yes Andy’s a good egg, DTE TV has been doing well this year and I still really enjoy it and that’s thanks to you guys commenting and supporting. Here’s to 2025 👌 ah ye 👍
Does Andy call his ZeroBudgetCaddy “Big Love”? If not he should tho, eh? That’s all I can see when I see BG05 LVE!
Hello mate, "big Love" more represents my personality.
But I suppose she's big love as well😊
Ah yeah great video again 🎉
That will have some lovely gearbox rattle my t5 did when I swapped to solid flywheel
Great video and good job 👍 I have a mk 4 caddy and sometimes when I pull away I get the sound of chair legs scraping on the floor from the cluch been like it for 6 months not getting any worse can't afford to put it in the garage at the moment. Any ideas or just keep going until it breaks?

brings back painful memories of lifting off my passat gearbox on my own, didn't loose a finger but broke one when i trapped it between the box and the axle stand 😪
Ah man sounds painfull 👍
What happened to painting Andy’s van or did I imagine that?
Hello mate, it's definitely going to happen.
Just doing other bits that need to be done before the paint can go on 😊
Nice one Mr cool 😎👍🏻
Thanks bud 👍
Top work mate Ah Ye 👊👍
Thanks Archie 👍
Ah yeh 👍
..Top bloke is Andy..aH Ye!👍...
Thank you mate, I appreciate your kind words. 😊

20/20 vision 😂😂
nice one
What exhaust does nathan have on his caddy does anyone know please ?
Hi bud it’s just a 5” rolled out tip 👍
Some clutches have a finger missing , seen it on minis too , strange way to make them
Couldn’t the wood be smaller in length so your not that high off the ground. ❤
E60 520d clutch literally had shits harder to get out lol 😂
😂👍
ah ye😎😎
F1 speeds on the gearbox.....get yourselves around to McLaren.
another easy clutch swap ( showing my age) c20xe c20let vauxhall f18 f20 gearbox
Hey bud, c20let ay!! I was a Ford man when they where big so cvh and zetec 👍👍
@YTDTETV haha gree up to my teens a ford guy daf had sierra 2.9v6 estate (aswell as brand new g plate cavalier company car ) escort xr3i escort rsturbo s2
then at 10 year old in 1997 done my first engine swap with him as dafty arse opposite reversed into the rsturbo bent it and wrote it off
so rsturbo stuff into an orion ghia 1600.
apprentice ship at 16 through vauxhall was instantly hooked on c20xe mk3 astra gsi had then astra sport 1.8 with v6 a corsa gsi noca 1.3 sr stra gte cabrio then z20let astra
now a vw lover but cannot forget the classic ford's and astra
Come on Nath you should know it’s a ugger dugger gun not a dagger dagger…all bolts have a ugger dugger scale of tightness 😊
I shal bare that in mind Stevie 👍 the way I was saying it was a mouthful
Mk3 vauxhall astra is the best to do a clutch you dont even have to take the gearbox off
Hey bud I’ve never seen them only heard about them 👍
Saab 900 is the easiest clutch I've ever changed
Please keep the 170 as a sleeper. Black bumpers, steels (if you can get the breaks under) subtle drop. Suprise most cars out there
Valeo is 💩! LUK or Sachs all the way.
Hi bud I’m a sachs man, Valeo will do for Andy’s zero budget 👍
@@YTDTETVglad to hear that! 🤜🏼🤛🏻
