I've been blessed to own a 1999 Porsche 911 Cabriolet (1st year of the H2O cooled engine) A 1973 Mercedes 450 SL convertible and a 1978 450 SLC (A rare car..) Thanks Nick. Great job! I still have the 450 SLC.

Brilliant car ride, your mate has a great sense of humour! I had a 2004 E500 sedan and absolutely loved it. Mercedes is one car that makes driving very easy, comfortable and enjoyable.
Good to see another M278 powered 207 E500; they are rare. Mine's a 2012 Cabrio, bought to replace a 99 CLK230 Cab. The M278 TTV8 is a beast, and has masses of low revs torque. I had been set on a 209 CLK63 Cab, but decided after driving that I didn't like the lack of low revs grunt from the M156, even if it is a legendary engine. My E500 has had a stage one remap to go to 510BHp. I've had some work on the exhaust too so I can hear more V8 burble and roar. Kiran's right to say it's E series styling on a C series platform. The A207 and C207 were basically 3rd gen CLKs, but with an E badge. And now Merc seems to be bring the CLK back again, this time as CLE.
What a great bloke, definitely on my wavelength with the detailed fascination with cars. Top man. I’m sure the MPG would be interesting on this and I was intrigued what the white box was stuck on the front window screen.🤔 (I get the feeling he’s a doctor or surgeon for some reason).
Great video, having owned a coupe and now driving the cabriolet both e500 variants. Kiran got his analysis spot on. I have never seen another e500 Cariolet out in the wild, only 2 coupes in 5 years. Proper stealth wealth wagon.
I always liked this shape of E-Class I think the later versions are not as pretty. I don't like the alloys on this one and I would have put the larger AMG alloys on it. Most manufacturers send out a video of servicing now to let you see what they are doing. . Nice car this one Nick and the right colour choice also.
This is about the perfect car for me. I like the description “Wolfe in sheep’s clothing” because it suggests that the car is an elegant performance car. You wouldn’t expect it to be but it is. I’m not a fan of robust looking sports cars. Mercedes nailed it with this one
Last year I took a 2nd hand Mazda CX-5 into a Mazda dealer in Orlando, FL. They did an oil change and they inspected the car. They sent me a nice almost “car Wizard” style inspection on the car and they sent me a very high quality video. I was quite impressed. Nice car BTW ✊🏾
Great car. My daily driver is a C250 CDI Coupe which only has 200HP and 500NM but is also a bit of a surprise just how quick it goes. Always good for a laugh when I pull up at a job site and get out in safety boots, hi-vis shirt and a hard hat. I plan on replacing it in the next couple of years with an e class coupe!
So he's bought a Taycan, tell him to make sure it's fully charged before he leaves home, they've been getting criticized recently for not giving the range promised, like most electric cars, and it's also difficult to find a charging point that can give it a decent fast charge. S bit of planning required on his future journeys.

I own a Mercedes CLK 320 Its only 52 plate car and took me nearly 20 years to buy As brand new it was easily a £42.000 pound car from the showroom. In 2000 my friend and i used go round the garages around Brighton and Hove we saw a few of these CLK's around £20.000 my friend said i would never own one. Then one day when i was 52 i happen to be looking on the internet and spotted the car i own now it was sadly just out of my price range but i kept going back to it then ontime it really caught my eye with its registration plate. I was straight on the phone to the seller i had not viewed car in person at this point but living in South Wales and car was near Bicester it was a journey to look at it. I said to the trade seller would he take £1200 the phone went quiet for what felt like 5 minutes but came back and said yes i can sell for that offer. I was so excited but also slightly disapointed as the seller said he had someone coming from Banbury only up the road but it was sales talk for leave a deposit. So a sleepless night ahead then around 10.10 am i heard my phone ring it was the seller saying this lady wasn't coming to view it.. I got changed jumped in my black mondeo titanium 2.2 and drove down. This time i left the deposit and arranged collection on the next Thursday i caught train. I paid cash and was so excited..i still am today. it does now and then give me trouble. Its maintained at MBS in Bridgend most mots has been really good. But this tears mot wasn't so good. Iknew i required at least one tyre to pass mot but my brakes failed on effiecency and the vrakes on most mercedes are not so cheap given my usage of car i am not sure which direction to go with this. I consider doing the back calipers and discs 1st as the brake pads are brand new and only done 60 miles. the fronts are year old now so that i guess will get done later.. Whats your views please..

I am watching this in Aug 2024. These coupe's are now a lot of automobile for the money. I am seriously thinking of getting one of these instead of a Jaguar XJ8. Do they have air suspension? If so, is it reliable?
My shoulders and neck get stressed watching him drive, his posture tells me he may want to re-think his seating position ( 11:11 ), too far from the wheel, maybe even the wheel is abit too high? Whatever works is my motto, but i think he could gain from a change!
I am not the type of wanna be person but with me having the same car only with the smallest engine available, I see the gap between me and the gentleman who is now upgrading to an E Porsche, and I am laughing at myself
