I switched to the buckless strap ! It 100% is more secure than anything else minus using the buckle . And it’s just as fast as amsteal. Especially with XOP straps are super soft so easy to manipulate and secure to sticks ! Only downside I can see is your limited on tree diameter which I could care less about that since I’ve only found a few trees I couldn’t use but there was 10 next to it I could ! Great tips

Use the amsteel daisy chain , go around the sticks button then pick a loop pull your amsteel thru it to make it a truckers hitch, bring it back around the button and tie it down.

Daisy Chains with truckers hitch with my x2 sticks. Light fast simple.

3/8” amsteel with the cinch and half-hitch method. Same as the second method with the strap but with amsteel.

Switched from traditional cam buckles to daisy chains 2 years ago and wont go back. IMO dc’s are lightest, quietest, and most packable. Intrigued by the prusik knot amsteel ropes…

I run the daisy chain using the one stick method using one X2 stick. Then I use both buckles that come with the Cold World to attach to the tree. Kind of a hybrid style if you will. Can get up to 30+ feet if I need to If I'm on the side of a steep hill. Or as low as I need to.

I use and EWO one stick. The cam cleat is simple to insert and remove for the next move. How does a daisy chain come off when taking the stick off to reposition?

I can do it pretty easily. I pull up on the stick which loosens the daisy chain, then I take one end of the daisy chain loop off the button. I actually can do it one handed. I should make a video on that.

@@tomnolan2186 please make a video or just explain it as simple as you can! Haha!! I’m trying to find the best way to one stick with my X2’s. First season saddle hunting and I would really like to one step without switching my sticks already.

Tried daisy chain strap material that came with Hawk Helium sticks. Didn't like it, they tend to bounce up and loosen....sometimes. Went back to what I know, cam buckle straps. They just work, period. Cover buckle with yak grip or silencing tape, you'll be good to go. If that tiny amount of "weight" breaks your back or keeps you from going that half mile extra, you need one of 2 things. Either GROW A PAIR or GET IN THE GYM.

A few days ago I was watching a video of yours showing several different gadgets & techniques to hold your climbing sticks while assending a tree. Im having a hard time locating it again. Can you please tell me which video it was? Thanks

Can you give the link for that first green strap?

Call me old school but I run buckles. Sometimes we get too carried away with weight.

Buckle. But you raised an eyebrow with the Amsteel prusik knot.

Daisy chain truckers hitch. Latitude has a great video showing how to do that and it is much more secure to me than just picking one of the closest loops
