The Franciscan Friars that founded the Missions in San Diego during the 1700's wore long BROWN robes. If San Diego's original Padres wore brown with pride it is only fitting that the San Diego Padres of MLB wear brown too. GO PADRES!

I think the three 1978 uniforms were the best. 1976 home script and road Brown were great as well. Including the interlocking SD Brown BP/Spring tops, the 2020 editions promise to be very interesting. GREAT MOVE!
The 2000s Petco blue and sand uniforms and their fonts never made sense to me. They weren't ugly, just generic and bland, like a darker version of the Dodgers and Royals. I love these new unis, especially the away kits. Pinstripes are the way to go. 2016 for the All Star Game was a cool look too with the gold accent and the SD logo.

I’m so happy they went back to brown. It takes me back to when I was a little kid going to see Dave Winfield.
We really had some good jerseys through the years. The Navy Blue camo has to be my favorite but these brown jerseys are iconic in San Diego
