Great reports as always - I did notice that you were forgetting to use Francois’ “showdown” ability - he gains a plus flip to resist Attack actions as long as he has clear line of sight to his opponent - this includes melee attacks so you should have been on positive flips against the Torakage pretty much the whole time.

The problem with the effigy/emissary is the emissary is only out for a certain amount of turns and has lower health. The lucky emissary (all of them really) are beaters so they wanna be in combat but the effigy wanna be just behind your big combat units doing support.
I agree with him. They can serve different roles and I really like the way effigies and emissaries in 3rd edition give you the flexibility to choose how you play them
