- In this video I give a full in depth tour of the 2012 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Roadster. I take viewers on a close look through the interior and exterior of this car while showing details, over viewing of features, and noting unique styling cues to the vehicle itself. I also show the engine and the details of it, start it up and see how it sounds under acceleration. A thorough tour/review of this car designed to give others a greater overall appreciation of the vehicle.

It actually would, Kyle goes through every little detail on the car. The USA version just can never compare to the UK version. Kyle is going places, because he has such a deep passion for what he does. He no doubt will have his own show some day.

heard "jessica" when kyle brought the top up and i was laughing because of how Top Gear's Jeremy Clarkson loves this car. Plus "moves like jagger" fits with the attitude of the car lol.

The gullwing doors are cool but they are so IMPRACTICAL and you can only enjoy them when u get in and out of the car. I'd get the roadster because you can enjoy the open top and hear the awesome sound of the v8 every drive.

@Zornus It says that, but it's actually a 6208 cc engine. I think they just say 6.3 for better marketing or because the original 300SEL was a 6.3

I have to say, it's just as sexy as the coupe, but I'm kind of glad it doesn't have Gull Wing doors, they look cool and are big on theatre, but I honestly could never see me or anyone ever getting out of one without feeling even a bit embarrassed.
i like the hardtop better than the convertable. the hardtop is probably in my top 10 fav cars of all time

the first engine/car mr Aufrecht and mr Melcher worked on was the 300 SEL 6.3 from 1967...so the 6.3 or 63 on modern AMGs is for heritage!!

Nice vids and a what a pretty beast this merc is ! but there's one thing that bugs me and that's the info about the hooks (or whatever they're called) that keep the hood down.. It's just that those hooks don't matter! they're not a big deal! they are there just to keep the hood down not to improve handling. btw that sls looks amazing with the top down!

@MadDogMeh I do not think so, Kyle provides incredibly informative videos showing details about cars, providing a better appreciation for people that my not have the resources to explore these cars themselves, or for people looking to buy a car as featured here, instead of being an entertainer. @rockerdriver Yes, i had already seen it. But the car received a facelift and kyle now does even better videos: more detailed and with better quality.
Yeah I agree completely, if I had lots of cash I'd get the gullwing SLS and the SL550 for nice days, hard-top convertibles just look better.
