- This was actually a super helpful guide and now I want to dive into more behind the scenes footage!

DAY6 composes their own songs with their producers. Young K writes the lyrics for like 90% of their songs. He’s like the main lyricist of the group. But other members participate in the lyrics writing as well. Thank you for reacting to DAY6!

Studio J = JYPE. It’s not a sub label. It’s just the way they named it and make divisions to manage their artist. There’re Division 1, Division 2, Division 3 and Studio J.
It's initially a sublabel, but i forgot since 2017 it seems, it "merged" into JYPE become one of the 4 divisions
Wonpilates is making a new guide!!
All the members participate in the writing an composing of the songs. According to their registered copyrights this is their order:
1st- Young K (he writes almost every single song on the albums, some on his own and some with the other members. He also has written several songs for other artists like Jimin/Jamie Park, Got7, Baek Ayeon, Nakjoon, etc and recently he wrote 4 of the songs in Eric Nam's upcoming album. He also has collaborated in some of these songs (Young해 - Jamie Park, Shouldn't Have- Baek Ayeon))
2nd- Wonpil (he's also written songs for other people, usually ost's for webdramas, like "Chocolate", which he co-wrote with Jae and is sang by all of Day6, and also co-wrote with Jae "Good Night" by Jeong Sewoon. He recently collabed in a song called "일어났어?" (Are you awake?/have you woken up?) which is an ost for a webtoon.)
3rd - Jae ( again, he's written a couple ost's with Wonpil.)
4th- Sungjin (he wrote and composed by himself the song "Afraid" from their latest album and it's one of Day6's most praised songs!)
5th- Dowoon ( he isn't as involved with the writing and composing but he has a few credits for his drumming in some songs. I also know that one of his drum solos from their concerts is registered for copyright under his name.)
And yeah, in their most recent tour, each member had a solo, usually a transition between songs, but the screen would show their name in big letters and everyone paid attention and praised whoever was having a solo (Sungjin's solo in this guide is one of them). But even before, Day6 has always tried to highlight each member's skills. One of my favorite ones is Wonpils piano solo during the live version of Hurt Road with orchestra. And Young K's bass line in What Can I Say is iconic! Jae has guitar solos in Wish and Shoot Me. Dowoon has a small drum moment in Days Gone By.
Day6 whole discography is gold. I've been a kpopper since 2009 but DAY6 is the only group that made me download their whole discography and never skip a single song in my playlist.

Also, Day6 official channel just released a Young K demo call "Text me now", is so good. It's in a playlist call Demo in the channel, hope they may release other ones too.
Okay So I've been to one of their live shows (one of the best days of my life tbh, I still can't realize fully I saw them on stage for real) and yes, they had intrumental solo parts at some point. Their stage presence and charisma is really insane. It was a very very fun concert to go to. They always try to interact with the crowd, they try to speak english sometimes and it's just... they are wholesome.
And yeah, the public and members get very excited whenever Dowoon sings and sometimes we just shut the fuck up to enjoy his voice as he isn't confident as a singer yet but he's improving ! He definitely is the baby of the group.
The way you describe wonpil voice is on point! Wonpil voice is so unique
ohmygod, i've seen them live and they were literally amazing. they sound like they ate the damn cd. so so so amazing live and wonpil and jae walked into the crowd at some point so i got to see them super up close, i almost passed out LMAO that concert i walked in a wonpil stan and walked out a jae stan hahah but wonpil still holds a soft spot in my heart till this day

day6 actually really like their slower songs more bc they like how they can show more emotion w those kinds of songs. but they do have harder stuff more in their bsides than title songs (i think, i can't recall atm) and also in their japan releases more than korean releases. also yes, pls react to crack vids also but maybe you can focus on their music first at least until the end of the everyday6 project. love your reactions !!

Their concert is AMAZING! You should definitely go in the next tour! In their most recent tour they had moments for each member to play their own instruments
The "Every Day6 Project" happened in 2017, i'll write a list of the title songs and b-sides per month so you can organize yourself better. Ps: All songs composed in the first half of 2017 made the album SUNRISE and the other half made MOONRISE

@@KpopPrinceyes, every day 6 of the month they released 2 songs (except december, it was 3). they also had a concert every month to promote the songs and they shot a M/V for all the titles! It's a lot indeed ;) but it's an awesome journey!
Yay! Honestly, at this point, you should just make "I'll check you guys out in the next video" your actual outro. I also love that they just do their own thing and have a voice, it's refreshing to see. Wonpil has a couple of solo covers, if you want to check those out. You know I'm a big fan of Young K's covers, so if you check any of those out (there's a lot of them) and want suggestions: "I.F.L.Y. (Bazzi Cover), "Fly Me To the Moon" (Sinatra), "Love Someone" (Lukas Graham).
I'll definitely choose those to watch in one video, thanks! I've never got the intro or outro thing down honestly. Gotta work on that 😁
Hurt Road is probably the Day6 song that I always listen to when I´m blue. (I became a myday because of this song), music and lyrics are masterpieces. All Day6´s songs are amazing, they're always experimenting with new genres, but in their own way. You are going to find a lot of relatable songs. Thank you for your reaction.

11:26 this part is misleading, young k himself said that he lived in a dormitory in canada and then live with a local family who's asian American if I'm not mistaken, so he lived there without his family.

Young K is the main lyricist of Day6 and out of all the members he's the one who can actually dance since he almost debuted in Got7.

One time Jae was sick and couldn't attend their first fan meeting, he appeared later to thank their fan and Wonpil cried a lot for Jae being on stage
Young K did most of the composing and lyrics writing when they debuted, but all members have started getting involved into it lately. For example Jae composes and writes with Young K a lot, Sungjin wrote Afraid from TBOU : Demon album, Wonpil wrote I'll try. They are all very talented. Young K did hold the songwritter and composer role for a while but I don't think it's really true now as they are all working on it now.
I've went to their concert once. AND HELL YEAH THAT WAS AMAZING. I highly recommend watching them live!

You probably misheard the video, it didn’t say Young K was the maknae, it was just saying that because he is the middle child, sometimes he was considered hyung-line and sometimes the maknae-line.

I went to their concert in the Netherlands and sadly I missed Shoot Me because my sister needed to go to the medical room at the concert during the song and I went with her but damn that concert was so fun

Jae is 27 he’ll be 28 in September. Sungjin is 27. Young k is 26, 27 in December. Wonpil is 26 and Dowoon is 24, 25 in August.

Where you got confused with the ages. It went in order from eldest to youngest. Young K is the perpetual middle child as all of them are born in different years (1992-96) so yeah. The boy really do be out here confusing everyone when it comes to if he's considered an older member or not.

You'd be surprised at how many amazing singers compete on King of the Masked Singer. No offense to idols or anything, a lot of them are extremely talented, but they often get eliminated quickly. Rarely do they ever win. Only a few exceptional idols have actually won.
