Great review 👍👌
I have 2 shimano Exsence and one of them has no line on it and it weighs in at 6.27 oz
It’s my favourite spinning reel so smooth , light and looks sweet.
Stella is top-tier but don’t like the weight of it.
Thanks for the comment! It is definitely a top 3 spinning reel for me. As for the Stella, it is abit heavier but still balances nice on different rods. I prefer a lighter rod over a super light reel, especially for bottom contact techniques. Makes the tip feel abit lighter!
First comment! Another banger as always
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it
Really nice review and comments. Have the lower gear ratio model and totally agree with how nice it is. I swapped the T knob out for the I knob but just a preference for what I wanted it for. Stay warm and enjoy your weekend!
I appreciate the comment. I am considering swapping the T knob with a carbon fiber knob on mine. Thanks for watching!
Ugh, re-watched this, you have me saving up for the next gen Stella…..🤣
Lol, I have a proper review of my 2022 Stella FK coming up. I'm not really sure what else they can upgrade in terms of construction, components, and materials. It would be groundbreaking tho.
Good review but can we know if it’s better than a vanquish purchase? Stella is out of reach for most people.
It is better than the Vanquish. It's also a magnesium reel with the Ci4 rotor as opposed to the Vanquish being majority Ci4 with a magnesium side plate if I remember correctly. The Exsence is a more durable reel as it is specifically made for light saltwater applications. It has a more solid feel similar to the Stella. The Vanquish is a great reel too for the money and is considered one of the best finesse reels on the market. It's super light but you do feel the Ci4 Carbon composite tho. Here in Canada, the Exsence retails for $879 plus tax and the Stella Retails for $1175. It's literally a step down from the Stella and when you're in that price range, the Stella isn't that far out of reach. My opinion anyway. I have 2, 2019 Vanquish spinning reels and to be honest, you can't go wrong with either. Thanks for watching.
I was looking at getting a jdm reel but seem to be inbetween sizes. I like the carbon drag and would like something around a 2500 size, but dont want a small spool. I also like extra gearing. Do you think a stradic 3000mhg? or what recommendation would you have? Looking for an all around fish reel for a medium fast 7 foot rod
If you're going the route of a JDM reel, I would suggest an Exsence XR C3000MHG, it's light and has 10 ball bearings. I owned this reel and would buy another. I wouldn't buy a Stradic that's JDM because you can get them in North America. Here is the link to the reel. ⬇️⬇️

Also, check my video out where I do a little unboxing and first impression.

Haven't heard of this model. Is it above a twin power but below a Stella? Or above a saragosa but below a twin power?. I was at bass pro shop yesterday and looked at a new saragosa 5000. It was a absolute piece of junk. Wobble city, way out of balance, huge rubber handle way too big drag knob super cheap plastic, clicked like there was sand in it...bail just not nice at all. I'm looking at a high end striper reel. I think I'm going with a saltiga or a catalina (JDM) I will only buy American or JDM. No China. Really surprised with that gosa. Total junk. Daiwa Def better than shimano imho
